A lot of you showed your concern about the level of our IPMAT Rohtak mocks so this message is in regards to that.

We understand that the Indore and the Rohtak mocks are poles apart in terms of difficulty. But, that's how the actual papers also are.

Rohtak has always been a high scoring paper. They test you on parameters different from Indore's. And the level of difficulty has been set in such a manner that time doesn't become a constraint (unlike Indore).

It's only been 2 years since this exam is being conducted and it'll certainly take time for it to mature fully. For the time being, we can expect some fluctuations in terms of the pattern. The 2021 exam can go in the following directions:

1) Similar difficulty, higher cutoffs: If the level of difficulty stays the same, the cutoffs will shoot up keeping in mind that the number of applicants has gone up drastically.

2) Higher difficulty, similar cutoffs: If to counteract the increased participation they raise the level of the paper, the cutoffs should be similar to what it was in 2019.

What we feel like is it's going to be a mix of both (speculation). The level of difficulty may be a notch above the previous years but not radically different. Even if they include higher math, we don't expect it to be a huge chunk of the paper. However, given the increased competition, the cutoffs might still shoot up a little.

Coming to our mocks, we want to make sure we prepare you for all possible scenarios. The same is the case with Indore but given that we'll provide you with 15 mocks in total there, the transition is smooth. Here, the ride is bumpy as we only have 5 chances.

The first mock was created in line with the past 2 year papers. We've personally given the 2019 paper and have a fair bit of idea of how it was like. However, given the increased competition, the cutoff in 2021, if the level remains the same (like the first mock), would've gone up to 300.

The difficulty in subsequent mocks has varied and will vary according to all probable scenarios of the 2021 paper and we feel like our mocks are close to accurate, in the case of IPMAT Rohtak as well. That said, we're open to suggestions and would love to hear what you feel about the same.
