AICTE – ATAL Workshop on “Advances in Research Support Services in Academic Libraries”
Academic Libraries are witnessing a mammoth change in its services focused on research oriented support services due to change in the information landscape and increased competition among the institute be at top of ranking ladder. Libraries needs to re-orient its support services and provide more research related information to benefits its faculty, research scholars and students.
Realizing the needs of the hours, Nava Nalanda Central Library, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology is organizing FIVE days National Workshop on Advances in Research Support Services in Academic Libraries on 26-30 October 2020 by TIET Patiala through Online Platform.
Eminent speakers and practicing librarians having an international exposure on research support services have been invited to deliver the workshop to prepare next generation information professionals.

Related to IPR in Indian and International Courts, the following though little thick in court matters, will interest you, Anti Anti Injunction - sounds weird, but yes IPR is important: Also, an interesting case how China the whole setup is warped, crooked, frauds, for those of you who have interest in court proceedings on commercial issues. Interdigital, USA technology firm, sues Xiomi, China based firm manufacturing mobile phones using Interdigital technology, and is selling mobile phones in India, without paying license fee to Interdigital. Interdigital owns patents in India, sues Xiomi in India, seeking besides other amounts, injunction against Xiomi. So far regular/ routine legal issues, matters of tens of crores if not hundreds of crores considering number of mobiles sold, nothing strange. Here comes the twist, Xiomi approaches Wuhan court in China, proceeding ex parte, seeks and achieves Anti Injunction against Interdigital that Interdigital will not proceed against Xiaomi anywhere else till Wuhan court decides the matter. How can China court give orders which affect proceedings in Indian court?? Interdigital again approaches Indian court, and files Anti Anti Injunction against Xiaomi, and Indian court orders that so Xiomi cannot have his Anti Injunction from Wuhan court implemented against Interdigital in India. Interdigital represented by Anand and Anand in India, and this does sound challenging considering Court proceedings, thought worth sharing though little bit more on legal sides.
