How can you get a job as a self-taught developer?

This is what I will do if I start from scratch:

1) First, I will define what kind of developer I want to be:

- Frontend
- Backend
- Game developer
- Mobile developer, etc.

2) I will start researching/learning only the necessary skills to get me there – only the necessary skills:

- First, I will research or ask senior developers based on my choice.
- List out all the necessary skills to get me there.
- Gain enough skills, at least to secure an internship in a company.

3) I will start building small and demonstrable projects each week and share them with others:

- I will start building a small project every week and push it on GitHub.
- Meanwhile, I will share what I learned on different social media platforms. This will help me connect with like-minded people and document my journey.

4) I will start enhancing my portfolio and create a CV:

- When I say portfolio, you might think that I am referring to a website (No).
- Having a website is a plus, but what really matters as a developer is your GitHub and LinkedIn. Those are the two platforms you need to focus on.
- Then, I will build my CV filled with my latest projects to demonstrate what I can do.

5) Start applying for an internship (not a job again):

- At this stage, I will start looking for companies that are seeking potential developers based on my choice.
- Contact them and try to get my foot in the industry. Meanwhile, I can repeat steps 3 and 4.

6) Learn as much as possible and contribute as much as possible during your internship:

- Yes, as a developer, you have to constantly learn and update your knowledge.
- Give it your all regardless of the outcome. You might land a job at the same company where you took your internship. If you don't get hired, move on to the next opportunity.

7) Okay, this time you need to look for a job; you have already leveled up from the internship stage:

- Like I said, you don't have to apply for internships anymore. You have already passed that stage; you are now a junior developer. Find a position based on your career as a junior developer.
- Start leveling up from there.

Important note:

* Have faith in yourself and show up every day to do the job.

How long will it take, you ask?

* I would say 1 - 1.5 years to land my first junior position job

ባለፉት 2 ዙሮች 1700 በላይ ለሚሆኑ ሴቶች በ Project Management, Web Development , Cyber Security, Digital Marketing , Data Analytics , Information Technology , Job Readiness , Work Readiness ስልጠና የሰጠ ከመሆኑ በተጨማሪ የስራ እድል በመፈጠር ተጠቃሚ እንዲሆኑ እድል አመቻችቷል፡፡ 

#ነጻ በሚሰጠውና ዓለም አቀፍ እውቅና ያለው ሰርተፊኬት በሚያስገኘው በዚህ ስልጠና እነዚህን ኮርሶች ለመውሰድ ፍላጎት ያላችሁ ሴቶች ምዝገባ የጀመርን መሆኑን እያሳወቅን ምዝገባው የሚቆየው ከመስከረም 30 እስከ ጥቅምት 10 , 2017 ዓ/ም ሲሆን ቀድማችሁ በመመዝገብ የእድሉ ተጠቃሚ እንድትሆኑ እንጋብዛለን፡፡

ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ ቱርክ እንደሄድኩ እንግዳ ከሆኑብኝ ነገሮች አንዱ እጅግ ንጹህና ውብ ሱፍ የለበሱና ፍጹም ፕሮቶኮላቸውን የጠበቁ ሰዎች መንገድ ላይ የተለያዩ ጥቃቅን እቃዎችን ሲሽጡ መመልከቴ ነበር። በቆይታ የተረዳሁት በርካታ የባንክ ሰራተኞች፥ ሲቪል ሰርቫንቶች፥ መምህራን እንዲሁም በተለያዩ ተቋማት ቋሚ ሰራ ያላቸው ሰዎች ተጨማሪ ገቢ ለማግኘት በትርፍ ሰዐታቸው የመንገድ ላይ ሸያጭ ላይ መሰማራት የተለመደ መሆኑን ነበር።እንቅስቃሴ የሚበዛባቸው ጎዳናዎች ላይ በመቆም የባንክ ሰራተኛው ካልሲ፥ መምህሩ ጌጣ ጌጥ፥ የመንግስት ሰራተኛው ውሃ ሊሸጡ ይችላሉ። የዚህ አይነት ትርፍ ሰራ ሀገራችን እምብዛም ስላልተለመደ ለረጅም ጊዜ እንግዳ ይሆንብኝ ነበር።

በሀገራችን ዛሬም ድረስ የተለመደው ማህበራዊ አመለካከት አንድን ሰው ከአንድ ሙያ ጋር ማሰተሳሰር ነው። መምህሩ ከማሰተማር፥ አሊሙ ከማቅራት፥ ዳዒው ከመሰበክ፥ ማህበረሰብ አንቂው ከአክቲቪዝም፥ ምሁሩ እውቀት ከማሰፋፋት ጋር ብቻ ይያያዛሉ። ከዚህ ማዕቀፍ የወጣ ሰራ ሲሰሩ ለብዙዎች እንግዳ ይሆናል፥ አንዳንዱም ተቃውሞውን ያሰማል። ይህ እሳቤ ብዙዎች ከሙያቸው ያለፈ ሌላ ሰራ ላይ በንቃትና በነጻነት እንዳይሳተፉ ማነቆ ሆኗል። ጊዜው፥ እውቀቱ፥ ፍላጎቱና እድሉ እያላቸው የማህበረሰቡን እሳቤ ላለመቃረን ሲሉ ብዙ የሚለወጡበትን እድል ያመክናሉ።

አሁን ባለው ነባራዊ ሁኔታ አይደለም የገንዘብ ነጻነት የሚሻ መደበኛ የሚባል ኑሮ ለመኖርም ሁለት፥ ሶሰትና አራት ገቢ የሚያሰገኙ ዘርፎች ላይ መሳተፍ ግድ ይላል።
ለራሰ የሰጠነው ወይም ማህበረሰብ ያሸከመን ደረጃም ሆነ ማዕረግ ከመልፋትና ከመጣርና ከምንታወቅበት ሙያ ውጪ ከመስራት ሊያግደን አይገባም። እንዴት መምህር ሁኜ፥ ባንክ እየሰራሁ፥ ዶክትሬት ጭኜ፥ ዑስታዝና ሽኽ ተብዬ፥ ሲቪል ሰርቫንት ተደርጌ ይሄን እሰራለሁ እያልክ "ብራንድህን" የምትጠብቅበት ዘመን አልፏል። በሀላል መንገድ ለፍቶ አዳሪ ሁን፥ ሌላ ባታተርፍ የአላህን ውዴታ ማግኛ ሰበብ ይሆንሃል።

ኢሰታንቡል የሚገኘው እድሜ ጠገቡና ትልቁ ገበያ Grand Bazaar መግቢያ ላይ እንዲህ የሚል ጹሁፍ ተሰቅሏል:
