This sounds like a conspiracy theory, or a MAGA flight of fancy. After all, as everyone with a passing knowledge of the Constitution knows, the 22nd Amendment limits presidents to two terms.

But could a scenario where Trump remains in the White House beyond that really happen? The surprising answer from experts is - yes.

In fact, the path for Trump to serve a third term - and potentially a fourth until January 2037 when he would be aged 90 - is not only possible, it is simple, thanks to a glaring loophole in the amendment.

Carrying it out would not require an army of lawyers to perform arcane legal acrobatics with the Constitution.

Instead, the move would hinge merely on the interpretation of one word - 'election' - in the 22nd Amendment, and the loyalty of one man - Vance.

It would also require Trump to have enough popular support to win for a third term at the ballot box.

👀 One of Vladimir Putin's limousines exploded and caught fire in Moscow as he orders sewers to be searched and the pat down of his own guards.

An Aurus limousine from Putin's "official car fleet" blew up in a huge blast on a street just north of Moscow's FSB secret service headquarters in Lubyanka.

Footage showed that the fire which started in the engine of the £275,000 Aurus Senat had spread to the interior of the vehicle. Footage taken from another angle appeared to show that the rear of the vehicle was also damaged.

Reports did not reveal who was using the car - believed to be owned by Putin’s Presidential Property Management Department - when the shocking incident occurred.

No report has been made about what may have caused the sudden blaze but those inside the car were not injured.

Putin, 72, routinely uses the Russian-made cars and has gifted the limousines, for example to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

JUST IN🚨: President Donald Trump said he was “very angry” and “pissed off” when Russian President Vladimir Putin criticized the credibility of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s leadership, adding that the comments were “not going in the right location.”

“If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault — which it might not be — but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia,” Trump said in an early-morning phone call with NBC News on Sunday.

“That would be that if you buy oil from Russia, you can’t do business in the United States,” Trump said. “There will be a 25% tariff on all oil, a 25- to 50-point tariff on all oil.”

“There will be a 25% tariff on oil and other products sold in the United States, secondary tariffs,” Trump said, noting that the tariffs on Russia would come within a month without a ceasefire deal. Trump said Putin knows he is angry, but noted that he has “a very good relationship with him” and “the anger dissipates quickly ... if he does the right thing.”

The two men plan to speak again this week, Trump said.

During the interview, Trump also threatened “bombing” and “secondary tariffs” on Iran if the country did not make a deal with the U.S. to ensure it did not develop a nuclear weapon.

“If they don’t make a deal,” Trump said about Iran, “there will be bombing. It will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before.”

U.S. and Iranian officials are “talking,” Trump said.
