Former Trump adviser Kash Patel points out House has authority to arrest Garland over subpoena
Former Trump adviser Kash Patel said Tuesday that the House of Representatives has the authority to arrest United States Attorney General Merrick Garland and hold him in detention until he complies with a congressional subpoena.
"Merrick Garland said, 'No, I'm not going to comply [with the subpoena]. I'm going to break the law,'" Patel said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.
"Then Congress under that authority granted to them by statute can have the sergeant at arms go and arrest Merrick Garland, and can hold him in detention until he complies, just like DOJ would do to anyone else who violates a subpoena," he continued.
The House has "inherent power to commit for contempt by detaining the witness in the custody of the Sergeant-at-Arms," according to House rules.

Judge denies motion by Planned Parenthood to dismiss trafficking lawsuit from Missouri AG
Missouri GOP Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced Tuesday evening that a judge has rejected a motion by Planned Parenthood to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the state that alleges a clinic traffics minors out of state to obtain abortions.
"One step closer to eradicating Planned Parenthood from the State of Missouri," Bailey wrote on the social media platform, X.

The J6 committee destroyed evidence, was improperly constituted, and concealed video of Nancy Pelosi taking the blame for the attack in the immediate aftermath.
Since 2015, the House of Representatives speaks in litigation through an entity called the Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group. I believe BLAG should immediately take a vote to remediate all of the J6 committeeโs actions as unconstitutional and unlawful.
That vote would give Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon a basis to petition the court to not have their prison sentences begin or continue.

Joe Biden just launched a โcheap fakeโ task force to coordinate with social media platforms and fight election โmisinformation.โ Stage 2 is anger: often directed at their fellow Democrats, they become short-tempered and hostile. Next, they bargain. Realizing denying and yelling wonโt get them anywhere, they cope by making trade-offs. Then comes depression, the most painful of the five stages. Be on the lookout for recriminations, loathing and foul language, as reality begins to sink in. And after all that, when you realize you canโt go back, thatโs when youโve reached the final stage- acceptance.
