Fani Willis, Nathan Wade referred to Georgia state bar for misconduct by watchdog group

FIRST ON FOX - Georgia prosecutor Fani Willis and her former lover Nathan Wade are facing two ethics complaints from a conservative government watchdog group based on their court testimony on allegations they had an 'improper' affair.

The American Accountability Foundation (AAF) is requesting that the Georgia state bar open disciplinary proceedings against the Fulton County DA and Wade for violations of the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct.

AAF is alleging Wade lied under oath about his relationship with Willis, and alleging that Willis admitted to keeping campaign money for personal use on the witness stand.

Democrat Gov. Jared Polis issued an executive order activating the Colorado National Guard at the request of Democrat Secretary of State Jena Griswold for increased cybersecurity during next week’s presidential primary.

In 2018, Democrat Gov. John Hickenlooper began activating the guard for election cybersecurity measures. Polis continued the practice in previous elections.

“The Colorado National Guard Cyber Task Force is a valued partner in the shared goal of keeping Colorado’s elections secure,” Griswold said in a statement. “These cybersecurity experts will work with our security professionals to help protect our support systems from cyber threat.”

The Supreme Court on Wednesday laid out a hearing schedule on former President Donald Trump’s claims of presidential immunity that raises significant doubts that the election interference case against him will go to trial before the 2024 election — a major win for Trump in his effort to starve off legal consequences for his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss.

The Supreme Court’s decision to hear oral arguments the week of April 22 about whether Trump is entitled to presidential immunity left open a startling possibility: that a former president charged with conspiring to obstruct Congress and disfranchise millions of Americans in an effort to stay in the Oval Office after having lost an election may avoid facing trial before he is given a chance to return to the White House.

Until Wednesday evening, there had been a chance that Trump’s trial in Washington — based on an indictment returned in August — could go to trial as soon as May, with a likely verdict potentially handed down months before Election Day 2024.

A federal informant charged with lying to the FBI may have contributed to the controversial Crossfire Hurricane probe of Donald Trump's links with Russia.

Alexander Smirnov, 43, is accused of fabricating a story he told the FBI about a $10 million bribe paid to Joe Biden and his son Hunter by a Ukrainian oligarch. He has pleaded not guilty.

As details emerge about the 10-year FBI informant, keen-eyed intelligence analysts have noted an intriguing similarity between Smirnov and an unnamed FBI source cited in a government report on Crossfire Hurricane, the Bureau's past probe into the Trump 2016 presidential campaign's links with Russian intelligence operatives.
