Cisco To Fire "Thousands", Adding To Firehose Of Tech Layoffs Since Beginning Of 2024

The tech industry has been so delirious about the vast wealth that pervasive chatbots will supposedly unleash, it forgot about the massive layoffs on the road to AI nirvana. Luckily, every day there is a new tech giant to remind us of just how much fewer jobs will be needed in said future, and how laughable the Biden Labor Department's "strong jobs data" is... and today it was network giant Cisco's turn.

According to Reuters, Cisco will lay off "thousands of employees", as part of a business restructuring which seeks to "focus on high-growth areas".... such as AI/chatGPT of course. The San Jose-based company, which has a total employee count of 84,900 according to its website - is still deciding on the total number of employees to be affected by the layoffs, but it will certainly be substantial. The official announcement will likely come next week, when the company holes its earnings call on Feb. 14.

It’s official: I’m in the hospital.

Long story short I have an Abscess the size of a “small baby” in my back abdominal area. It’s “huge” according to most of the staff.

They were shocked I managed this long on my own and that I was able to walk in here.

The pain is extreme and unusual. I can only lay on my back. I can’t sit up for long and I’m very low energy. The abscess has pushed many of my abdominal organs in places they shouldn’t be, which means my ability to stand, move and otherwise use the pushing action of my abdominal muscles is also compromised (going the the bathroom is an ordeal). It has also grown into my right pelvis hip area and my right leg is extremely sensitive while also being numb on the outer thigh.

Thankfully there appears to be no damage to any organs or tissues they can see as of yet. They will start a drain of the abscess tomorrow and observe the results for a few days.

I feel oh so grateful to my wife Madi and close companions who have been nothing but immensely supportive. And if I didn’t have God in my heart guiding me and soothing me I probably would be in worse shape.

If you would've told me 15 years ago that liberals would be fighting vigorously on the side of the establishment elites, big tech giants, and corporate controlled media it would've blew my mind.

The Israel-Gaza situation is one of the most hot-button sociopolitical issues one could imagine, which is reason enough to think it going kinetic to a degree it hasn't in decades during the Biden Admin is more than serendipity.

That said, as usual, I tend to leave attempts at sussing out the Actuals to those with the minds geared toward it, as I'm not confident in any of the narratives being weaved by any and all sides on the game board.

One of the Macro patterns that I've seen developing from a Narrative perspective, however, is the continued political and social isolation of Israel.

Formerly the belle of the ball when it comes to the western hegemon, Israel is routinely being condemned in recent weeks by everyone from the US (Deep) State Department to the EU, Germany and the UK.

This, in addition to the growing ire of the Saudis and Egyptians has long-standing treaties under threat.

Say, wasn't there a recent president who had all said treaties under control?
