JUST IN - Durham trial: Jury finds former Hillary Clinton lawyer Sussmann not guilty on charge of lying to the FBI.

The verdict is a major defeat for Special Counsel John Durham, who has spent over 3 years looking for misconduct related to the Trump-Russia probes.

TURLEY: I mean, he (Durham)was facing a jury that has three Clinton donors, an AOC donor, and a woman whose daughter is on the same sports team with Sussmann’s daughter. With the exception of randomly selecting people out of the DNC headquarters, you could not come up with a worse jury

Why is everybody acting like Sussman was at the top of the pyramid in what Durham is going after here. It was a DC trial with a DC jury. It was 50/50 at best that we would get the results we wanted here. Yea it's not ideal but this is not the end of the world. The trial shed light on a ton of stuff.

Clinton ordered and paid for this and Obama's White House knew about it. That is where we want to see this go so keep your focus on that.

Sussman could've got 18 days for lying to the FBI like Papadopolous or maybe even a year or two. I think he deserved it, but the point is that it barely matters compared to what was exposed. This Trial was a win.
