some memories in tech never leave you.
for me, one of those memories is the day i started microcontroller programming with the mbed lpc11u24.
back then, i had almost no idea what i was doing.
even blinking the first led took us the whole day.
it was slow, old, and much harder than the modern tools we have now, but that is exactly why i remember it so clearly.
that was the moment i started learning how hardware, code, and patience come together.
when i saw the mbed email recently, it brought back that beautiful memory again.

Just shipped something I've been heads-down on: ethio_dev_kit.
4 Flutter packages, all published to pub.dev:
- ethio_calendar (Ethiopian to Gregorian date conversion)
- ethiopic_typography (Amharic/English font theming, Manrope + Noto Sans Ethiopic)
- ethio_validators (Ethiopian phone + ETB currency validation)
- amharic_stt (Amharic speech-to-text, Android for now)
Built these because I kept rewriting the same stuff across projects. Fully open source, MIT licensed, tested and documented.

Try them out, break them, open issues. Genuinely want feedback from people building in this space. If you've got ideas for what should come next in the kit, drop them here.

New package: ethio_holidays. Computes Ethiopian public and religious holidays for any year, calculated dynamically, not hardcoded.
Updated: ethio_validators 0.2.0 adds Fayda National ID format validation.
Both live on pub.dev, tested and documented.
