Late to share, but we secured 2nd place at the CoBuild Ethiopia AI Hackathon.

Our team, Nova Tech, built FaydaHealth, an AI-powered system linking health records to Ethiopia’s national ID.

Thanks to the organizers EDI, Addis AI, Efuye Gela, and Reach for Change, our mentor, and my teammates.

Pitched remotely, placed nationally.

Always trying 😊.

Sometimes small mistakes shake your confidence more than they should. not big failures just those tiny things that stay in your mind and make you overthink.

These past few days felt heavy. I honestly wish I was home… I need that peace right now.

But if your heart is clean and your intentions are right, God will guide you even through confusion.

i move, i learn, and i trust God in everything.

have a calm weekend, fam. ✌️

Lately I’ve been working with Flutter, and yeah… it’s nice and productive.

But every time I go back to native Android with Kotlin, it just feels like home 😅

I’ve built a big, production-level native app before and APK size was ~11 MB.
Then a simple Flutter app… and the size jumps way higher 🤯

Flutter is powerful, no doubt.
But Kotlin is still my alpha.
The control and performance just hit different.

Just sharing my experience 👀

💀 Dev Life Reality

Started last night, worked until after midnight.
Lost hope around 3 AM.

Tried again today for the last 4 hours… same build errors, same mess.

Planned to work on real features.
Ended up fighting Gradle, desugaring, and random failures instead.

Still not fixed. Still in the war. 😩
Wish me luck.

🕊 Dev War Update: The War Has Ended

Started last night and kept going past midnight. Almost lost it around 3 AM.

Came back today and spent hours fighting the same issues Gradle, desugaring, broken caches, cross-drive madness.

Planned to work on real features but ended up fighting the build system instead.

Finally fixed. War is over. 💪

Back to building real features now.

Gradle is not your friend.
Windows paths are evil.
Never underestimate flutter clean + stubbornness.

Thanks @tkLeul13 ✌️

If you skip days, progress just takes longer, that’s the truth 🤷‍♂️.
You don’t feel “ready” by waiting, you feel ready by building, fixing, and repeating.

Have a nice and productive night, everyone 🌙✌️

I still catch myself using messy prompts with AI 😅
Stuff like “give me the complete updated code of …” and hoping for magic.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it makes things worse.

What I’m learning is the real skill isn’t just using AI, it’s PROMPT ENGINEERING.

Asking better questions = getting better results.

Still learning. Still improving. One prompt at a time.
