Yomu
an all-in-one reading companion designed for book lovers and audiobook enthusiasts. Whether you're diving into an EPUB, studying a PDF, or listening on the go, Yomu tracks your progress and gamifies your reading journey to help you reach your goals.

so one day i decided to get back to reading books(as any normal person does), and started reading, then since its been awhile i read heavy stuff(normal book actually, just heavy for me 👀), the process got boring, so i tried audiobooks, and now my ADHD kicks in and started taking me places while listening, when i got back am up to 2,3 chapter and the main character had died or sth, so i started reading while listening to the audiobook at the same time, that really improved my experience.
but now i face another problem, 1 am using two different apps, 2 i was using samsung music for my audiobooks so everytime i open another audio to listen to music i've lost the track of my timestamp, now everytime i get back to reading i have to find the exact place where i left of and continue from there, trust me do this once or twice a day, you're better of not reading at all.

so why not build an app for it that got both feature i need reading while listening and rememebers where i left off and all. thats why Yomu is created

'Yomu' means 'to read' in japanase and 'anytime' in afan oromo, so two languages, one mission: "To read, anytime".

since i used to use moonreader(the best reader ever), i tried to apply their best features here, including the little ones like, searching from web for hte book's cover

so i present to you: YOMU

I'm officially launching Wozena to the world.

Wozena is the first all-in-one AI voice agent platform where any business can build, deploy, and manage AI phone agents without writing a single line of code.

No developer. No call center contract. No months of setup.

Just describe what you need in plain English and our AI co-pilot builds your entire voice agent from scratch. Pick a voice. Deploy to a real phone number. Live in minutes.

This is not another chatbot. This is not another developer API. This is a fully functional AI call center in one platform.
Your agent answers every inbound call 24/7. Runs outbound calling campaigns at scale. Qualifies leads. Books real appointments through your calendar. Sends transcripts, summaries, and sentiment data straight to your CRM. Follows up automatically based on rules you define.

And you can hear it yourself on a live test call before it ever speaks to a customer.

Every business that depends on phone calls deserves this. Clinics. Agencies. Law firms. Home services. Real estate. Insurance. Every single one.

The era of missed calls, lost leads, and overpriced call centers is over.

Wozena is live. Try it free at wozena.com.

These days, it is rarely malware or viruses that slow down our devices. It is the legit apps we install. Apps we barely use often register background services and scheduled tasks. Disabling them from the Task Manager is not enough. The Services and Task management apps on Windows are also hard to navigate.

So, I built SystemCtrl. It is a simple app that lets you control all the registered services and scheduled tasks from one interface. No unnecessary information. It tells you their status, and you can enable/disable them. For the ones you toggle frequently, you can pin them so they appear first when you open. It also has AI summarization to understand more about the service or task you are dealing with.

It is open source and on GitHub. Check it out at https://github.com/Abdesol/SystemCtrl

You can get the latest build at https://github.com/Abdesol/SystemCtrl/releases/tag/latest-build
(Currently available only on windows. Support for Linux and macOS is coming soon!)

Feedback and contributions are welcome!

some features you may not have noticed:
- on right click on services/tasks, you can pin, open, start/stop the services and tasks
- when you close the app at a certain size and position, it opens with that size and that position when you open it again

btw, the ai part, you add your own gemini api key in settings. And dw, it is saved locally.

You can really get to understand some of the services/tasks with weird names using the ai summary

this new .NET library by wieslaw is insane. Especially for those of us developing cross-platform apps with Avalonia/Uno. We are limited when it comes to variety of complex controls. We can use the complex controls from js/ts space and host them in our .NET projects.

It is different from webview, cuz, webview hosts the whole browser engine while this one replaces the browser engine's properties with a native presenter instead. It keeps it simple, performant and on a low memory consumption than webview.

It is early now, but I see a good future in it. Check it out!
