"ለአንድ ግለሰብም ሆነ ኅብረተሰብ፣ ቤተሰብም ሆነ አገር የዕድገትም ሆነ የውድቀት ቁልፉ መሬቱ ሳይሆን አዕምሮ ላይ ነው። መሬቱ የሚቆለፈው የሰው አዕምሮ ሲቆለፍ ነው። አንድ ሰው አዕምሮው ሲከፈትለት ሁሉ ነገር ይከፈትለታል። የአንድ ሀገር ሕዝብ አዕምሮው ሲቆለፍ፣ ሁሉ እያለው ምንም እንደሌለው ሁሉም ነገር ይዘጋጋል። … ለምሳሌ አፍሪቃን ውሰጂ…ሁሉም ነገር አላት። ግን ደግሞ ምንም ነገር የላትም። ያላትም ቢሆን እያጨራረሰን ነው እንጂ እየረዳን አይደለም። እይው መንገድ ላይ የወደቀውን ለማኝ፣ እስር ቤት የተከማቸውን እስረኛ፣ ሌሊት መንገድ ላይ ተደርድረው የምታያቸውን ቆንጅዬ ሴተኛ አዳሪዎች…እነሱ ሁሉ አዕምሮአቸው ተቆልፎባቸው የሐብታም ደኃ የሆኑ ድንቅ ፍጥረቶች ናቸው። ሌብነት ብትዪ መሱና፣ አምባገነንነት ብትዪ ጦርነት፣ ዘረኝነት ብትዪ የሐይማኖት ግጭት፣ ሁሉም የአዕምሮ መቆለፍ ምልክት ናቸው። ስለዚህ አሁን አንገብጋቢውና ትልቁ ቁም ነገር መንገድ መሥራት ወይም ሕንጻ መገንባት ሳይሆን ይህንኑ ማድረግም ሆነ በተሰራው በቅጡ መጠቀም የሚቻለው የሰው አዕምሮ ሲከፈትና ከተኛበት የዘመናት እንቅልፍ ሲነቃ ብቻ መሆኑ ላይ ነው።" (430/1)
