EDI Ethiopia - Voulenteer Internship Program Application Form
EDI’s professional volunteer internship program primarily targets fresh university graduates and final-year graduating class students to provide hands-on work experience in the form of an apprenticeship program lasting for 6 months. Interns will have the opportunity to exercise on-job professional skills by working closely with mentors and experts in different fields of studies/industries within EDI’s program units including but not limited to entrepreneurship & training program, BDS & innovation services, business incubation and acceleration, IT, M&E, Finance, HR, Procurement, Program Coordination and Operations.

The Opportunity
EDI currently seeks to deploy 10 volunteer interns in different program units for a period of six months with possibility of extension. 

Objective of the Program
- Providing interns with practical job shadowing experience and industry best practices to develop their professional skills and create opportunities for competitiveness in the job market.
- Allow interns to gain direct exposure to engage in pillar activities of EDI i.e. entrepreneurship training, capacity building, and BDS in addition to developing critical workplace skills such as critical thinking & problem solving, communication, teamwork, time management, leadership, emotional intelligence, and cross-cultural diversity. 
- Provide interns access to international standard training, BDS tools, and TOT certifications. 

Eligibility Criteria
- Final year public and private university students with a formal support letter seeking an internship program;
- CGPA of 3.5 and above;
- Fresh university graduates with no or <6 months of work experience.

Instructions
- Application submission is done ONLY through the completion of this form until January 31, 2024. Do not send applications through email since it will be disqualified. 
- Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for a face-to-face evaluation and selection through email.
- This round of internship program is planned to be implemented in Addis Ababa i.e at EDI's HQ.
- We highly encourage women to apply.
- The volunteer internship program is not a formal employment. It does not involve salary and benefit packages. EDI will be offering an internship allowance to cover transportation expenses for qualified volunteer interns.
