Project Intern

ROLE SUMMARY

The Project Intern will assist with Renew Capital’s consulting projects, support project design by providing input to project staff, partners and other stakeholders in project design, and support in tracking project targets and delivery times against quality and budget parameters.

The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting gender-focused projects, learning about how we adopt our blended finance approach in Africa, be culturally adaptive and emotionally intelligent, a patient and excellent communicator, a strong and eloquent writer, a quick learner, and capable of handling a diverse range of project tasks.



Responsibilities:

Build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders of Renew Capital
Support in improving portfolio growth systems and tools
Support in monitoring project activities, outputs, and progress towards anticipated results
Support in conducting research and writing of analytical reports
Support in the coordination of video conferences, speaking engagements, programs and meetings
Work with data platforms, databases and support in the selection of technologies to capture and organize data
Providing support to data quality assessments
Handle necessary administrative tasks
Take on a wide variety of ad hoc tasks and projects as needed


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in international development, business administration, economics, project management or related field
Excellent research, analytical, and quantitative skills
Strong written and oral communication skills in English
High levels of organization and attention to detail
Autonomous and agile in changing environments, with a sense of initiative and proactivity
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills, able to work in a multicultural environment
