በሰኔ 2017 ዓ.ም የሚሰጠውን የመውጫ ፈተና ለመውሰድ ተፈታኞች የብሔራዊ ዲጂታል መታወቂያ (ፋይዳ) ሊያወጡ እንደሚገባ ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር መግለፁ ይታወቃል።
የመንግሥት እና የግል ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች የፋይዳ መታወቂያ ምዝገባ በማድረግ ላይ ይገኛሉ።
የመውጫ ፈተናውን ለመውሰድ ምዝገባውን በጊዜ በማድረግ የፋይዳ መታወቂያዎን ይያዙ።

ከሰኔ 1 ቀን 2017 ዓ/ም ጀምሮ ለፓስፖርት አገልግሎት ከሚስፈልጉ ሰነዶች ፋይዳ / ዲጂታል መታወቂያ አንዱ እንደሚሆን ተገልጿል።
ፓስፖርት ለመውሰድ በቀጠሮ ላይ የሚገኙ ዜጎችም የፋይዳ / ዲጂታል መታወቂያ እንዲይዙ ይጠበቃል ተብሏል።
ፋይዳ / ዲጂታል መታወቂያን ለፓስፖርት አገልግሎት ከሚስፈልጉ ሰነዶች ውስጥ በማካተት አገልግሎት ለመስጠት የዲጂታል መታወቂያ ፕሮግራም እና የኢሚግሬሽንና የዜግነት አገልግሎት በትብብር ለመስራት ከስምምነት መደረሳቸው ተነግሯል።
ከዚህ በኃላ ከፓስፖርት ጋር በተያያዘ ለሚሰጠው አገልግሎት ዲጂታል መታወቂያ እንደ ዋና ሰነድ ያገለግላል።
