Perhaps the most visible animal migration is the journey of Africa's wildebeest herds, which travel annually by the millions in search of greener pastures. Millions of wildebeests suddenly start migrating at the same time each year.
The migration is one of nature's grandest spectacles, as the herds cross crocodile-infested rivers while lions prowl in the tall grass nearby. Over 250,000 wildebeests fall victim to hungry predators and the other perils of migratory travel, such as drowning, starvation, and disease, along the way.
Africa's vast savanna could not exist without the migration, and maintaining these habitat corridors is essential to the survival of this area and its creatures.

During our last VC a few weeks ago, we acknowledged that there had been serious shortcomings in the frequency and quality of communications coming from the dev team and project leads.
In the time since, we've been working to establish an effective chain of command and to bring in the right people to fill each position as we prepare for the launch of Zoo. We're confident that the team we've assembled in the last few weeks will not only be able to devise a creative and comprehensive launch strategy, but that they'll be able to execute on that plan ON-TIME and in the most successful way possible.
There'll be a LOT of updates coming up in the next few weeks, and communicating them clearly to the community is one of our top priorities. To ensure that all communications are handled with care and expertise going forward, we've brought @feedmefear onto the team as our new Director of Education & Communications!
His extensive experience in large-scale event planning/promotion, project & people management & in the field of education make him the right person to speak on all things ZOO to the community and public and to help to educate the general population about DeFi/Zoo and bring tons of new users to the ZOO.

We are excited to announce that, as was discussed during our last VC and in the time since our new website was launched, ALL existing animal models have been updated with higher res, fully interactive AND AR-Enabled models!
These models are NOW LIVE on www.zoolabs.io!
Take the time to head over and give them a test drive. A guide to interacting with them will be posted later, but for now:
Using your mouse or your finger on either desktop or mobile, you can rotate/flip the animals in any direction AND you can zoom in or out on them by scrolling up or by pinching and expanding your fingers on mobile.
You can also enable AR mode (mobile only) by clicking on the little geometric icon on the bottom right of each animal's image, which will deploy AR mode. There are still some refinements to be done, and you may find that the animal initially appears to be very close to you and zoomed way in - use your two fingers to pinch inward as if you were making a photo smaller and you shou
