After 22 months growing inside its mother's womb, a newborn baby elephant weighs more than the average adult human being. Female calves weigh 90-100 kg (198 - 221 lb.). Males are heavier and weigh up to 120 kg (265 lb).

The Siberian tiger is the largest cat in the world. They are distinguishable by their striped fur which is unique to each tider. Siberian tigers have fewer more paler stripes compared to other tigers. The mane, in addition to their thick fur, helps keep them warm. These are solitary animals, marking their scent on trees to keep other tigers away. They roam many miles and hunt often. They stalk their prey, which include elk, boar, bears, and deer, until they are close enough to pounce. When successful, they drag their kill to a secluded area before devouring.

The Nubian giraffe is a subspecies of the Northern Giraffe. It was estimated in 2010 that fewer than 250 live in the wild, although this number was uncertain. However, as of 2016, it was recently estimated that 2,150 Nubian giraffes live in the wild, 1,500 of those of the Rothschild's ecotype. Fewer than 200 now live in western Ethiopia and about 450 in eastern South Sudan. There are 800 in Kenya and more than 1,550 in Uganda.

The Amur leopard is solitary. Nimble-footed and strong, it carries and hides unfinished kills so that they are not taken by other predators. It has been reported that some males stay with females after mating, and may even help with rearing the young. Several males sometimes follow and fight over a female. They live for 10-15 years, and in captivity up to 20 years. The Amur leopard is also known as the Far East leopard, the Manchurian leopard or the Korean leopard.

At birth, a litter consists of two to six cubs and are cared for by their mothers alone. When a hunt occurs for the mother to gather food, the cubs are typically left alone. At 3 months, the babies will be able to leave the den; they may even go on hunts with their mother. At 18 months old, they are able to hunt on their own, but will not leave their mother’s den until they are 2 to 3 years old.

Perhaps the most visible animal migration is the journey of Africa's wildebeest herds, which travel annually by the millions in search of greener pastures. Millions of wildebeests suddenly start migrating at the same time each year.
The migration is one of nature's grandest spectacles, as the herds cross crocodile-infested rivers while lions prowl in the tall grass nearby. Over 250,000 wildebeests fall victim to hungry predators and the other perils of migratory travel, such as drowning, starvation, and disease, along the way.
