1. You get a link like web.telegram.org/gift and they ask you to open it

2. The page may show a 404 error, but your browser address bar can already reveal confidential data from your active session

3. Next, scammers try to get that data from you. For example, they may:

• ask you directly or trick you into forwarding the resulting link

• ask you to “slightly fix” the address in your browser by replacing telegram.org with another domain (this can send them your data without you realizing it)

📌 WHY THEY WANT IT

If you send that link or anything from the address bar, you’re essentially handing over access to your session - and the scammer can take full control of your Telegram.

❗️ SAFETY RULE

Never forward links or any data from the address bar after clicks like this. Even better - don’t follow “instructions” from strangers at all, even if they sound confident or pretend to be support.
