A man said to Ḥasan al-Baṣrī رحمه الله:
"Indeed, someone has backbitten you."
Ḥasan sent a dish of sweet dates to the backbiter and he said: "I heard that you have given me your good deeds as a gift so I would like to repay you for it, but please excuse me because I am unable to completely repay you."

Fasting on 'Āshura was Fardh before Ramadān
Ibn ʿAbbās [رضي الله عنه] said:
❝I never saw the Prophet [ﷺ] seeking to fast a day, giving it preference over another, except this day, the day of ʿĀshūrā, and this month, meaning the month of Ramaḍān.❞
Narrated ‘Aishah [رضي الله عنها]:
❝Allāh's Messenger [ﷺ] ordered [the Muslims] to observe Saum [fast] on the day of ‘Ashura’, and when fasting in the month of Ramadān was prescribed, it became optional for one to observe Saum [fast] on that day [‘Ashura’] or not.❞

'Āshūra will not come back.
Muhammad ibn Shihab az Zuhri was traveling and still fasted on the Day of Ashura, so it was said to him,
“You fast on the Day of Ashura while traveling, but you break your fast in Ramadan?”
He replied, “Ramadan fasts can be made up on other days, but the Day of Ashura will pass you by (i.e., it is not legislated to make it up later).”

Abdullah ibn Mas’ood (radiyAllahu ‘anhu), used to pray at night (the night prayers) and (when he) would see his small child sleeping then he would say, “this is for your bright future” and whilst crying would recite:

Ruling Concerning a Woman Cutting Her Hair
Question: I hope you will help me concerning cutting my hair from the front of it in a certain style wherein the hair sometimes falls down over the eyebrows of a Muslim woman. Is this allowed or not? May Allah reward you.
1) Response by Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمـــه الله :
"I do not know of anything [wrong] in cutting a woman's hair. It is not allowed to shave all of it off. You cannot shave off the hair of your head but you may shorten its length."

2) Fatwah by Shaykh al-Uthaymeen رحمـــه الله ;
"In the past, women were keen to have long hair and would be proud of it, and they would not cut it unless there was a shar‘i reason or health-related need to do so.
Now things have changed, so the view that it is forbidden is weak and there is no proof for it. The view that it is disliked needs further reflection and examination.
The view that it is permissible is closer to the basic principles of Islam. Muslim narrated in his Sahih that the wives of the Prophet ﷺ used to cut their hair so that it came down no lower than their earlobes. (Muslim, Book of Menstruation)
But if a woman cuts her hair too short , so that it looks like a man’s hair, then this is undoubtedly haram, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) cursed women who resemble men."
