Collecting Pictures for Memory's Sake (Hardcopy Albums)
Question: Is it allowed to collect pictures for the sake of memories?
Response by Shaykh Ibn Bāz رحمـــه الله :
It is not allowed for any Muslim, male or female, to collect pictures of living creatures, human or otherwise, for memory's sake. In fact, one must destroy them for it is confirmed that the Prophet said to Ali,
فا إلا سويته" "لا تدع صُورَةً إِلا طَمَسْتَها وَلا قَبْراً مُشرِفاً إلا .
"Do not leave an image but efface it and do not leave a grave elevated but level it."
It is also confirmed from him ﷺ that he forbade pictures in the House. When he ﷺ entered the Kaaba after the Conquest of Makkah, he saw pictures on its curtain and he requested water and a cloth and he wiped them away. There is nothing wrong with pictures of inanimate objects, such as mountains, shrubbery and so forth.

Shaykh al-'Uthaymin رحمه الله said:
You should know - may Allah bless you - that these days are a venue for every type of righteous deed from reciting the Qur'an, [giving] charity, [performing] supererogatory prayers, keeping ties of kinship, righteousness to the parents, benevolence to the creation of Allah, and other than that.
And let it not escape me my brothers - that I advise you with the Taqwa of Allah and to take advantage of these days; for perhaps you may not reach them next year, so be diligent in having sincerity for Allah and following the Prophet in all of your speech and actions so they may be accepted.

Ruling Concerning a Woman Riding with a Non-Related Male Chauffeur.
Question: What is the ruling regarding a woman riding with a non-related male driver or chauffeur?
Response by Shaykh al Uthaymeen رحمـــه الله :
It is not allowed for a man to be alone with a woman in a car unless he be a mahram for her. The Prophet ﷺ said:
" لا يَحْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ إِلَّا مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَم
"A man cannot be alone with a woman unless in the presence of a mahram of hers."
That is conditional upon it being a state which is considered "safe" and it is not a situation of them traveling together."

Burying one's nails & Hair.
Question: I have seen some people, especially women, burying their hair and nails after they have cut them on the basis that leaving them in the open is a sin. To what extent is this correct?
The scholars state that it is best and preferred to bury such hairs and nails. Such has been reported from some of the Companions. However, it is not true to say that leaving them in the open or throwing them in a specific place is considered a sin.

Question 269: What is the Islamic hijab?
Response by Shaykh al Uthaymeen رحمـــه الله :
The Islamic hijab is for the women to cover everything that is forbidden for her to expose. That is, she covers everything that she must cover.
The first of those bodily parts that she must cover is her face. It is the source of temptation and the source of people desiring her. Therefore, the woman must cover her face in front of those men that are not mahram.
As for those who claim that the Islamic hijab is to cover the head, shoulders, back, feet, shin and forearms while allowing her to uncover her face and hands, this is a very amazing claim. This is because it is well-known that the source of temptation and looking is the face.
It is not possible that there could be in the Esteemed, Wise and Noble Shariah a contradiction. Yet everyone knows that the temptation from uncovering the face is much greater than the temptation that results from the uncovering of the feet. Everyone also knows that the most sought after aspect of the woman for men is the face.
If you told a prospective groom that a woman's face is ugly but her feet are beautiful, he would not propose to such a woman. However, if you told him that her face was beautiful but her hands, palms, or shins were less than beautiful, he would still propose to her. From this one can conclude that the face is the first thing that must be covered.
There are also evidences from the Book of Allah and the sunnah of our Prophet ﷺ . There are also statements from the Companions, the leading Imams and the great scholars of Islam that indicate that it is obligatory for the woman to cover all of her body in the presence of non-mahram men.
This obviously indicates that it is obligatory upon the woman to cover her face in front of such men. However, this is not the place to quote all those authorities. And Allah knows best.
