2020 July • YouTube (and Google) get worse with their censorship system by beginning to even block the basic information (ratings, creator's name, etc.) of a geoblocked video. This new stupid system makes it even difficult for research to be done on the internet.

2020 April -YouTuber Vara Dark Receives Threatening Letter And Has Web Hosting Account Hacked After Covering YouTuber Suzy Lu

https://boundingintocomics.com/2020/04/21/youtuber-vara-dark-receives-threatening-letter-and-has-web-hosting-account-hacked-after-covering-youtuber-suzy-lu/

'On April 18th, YouTuber Vara Dark posted a video recounting how she received a threatening email, and then was subsequently hacked after covering fellow YouTuber Suzy Lu.

Vara had just finished a series of videos on Lu, entitled “Suzy Lu Deplatforms and Censors Critics – What I think of her” and “Suzy Lu’s Strike Censorship Continues – My Last Word on Suzy Lu.”

24 hours later, Dark received a threatening email from "w5df3@mail.com" describing ominous consequences if the YouTuber stayed her course: https://boundingintocomics.com/files/2020/04/2020.04.20-02.13-boundingintocomics-5e9dae163cc36.jpg

If the email wasn’t enough, hours later, Dark claims someone someone hacked into her web hosting account and used the card on file to rack up nearly a thousand dollars in domain purchases.

Luckily, Vara’s bank flagged the charges as fraudulent activity and will be working with her to get her money back.

This very well could be an isolated incident. However, Dark points out in her video that she was blocked on Twitter by Suzy Lu hours before receiving the email: https://twitter.com/Vara\_Dark/status/1250934237483671552?ref\_src=twsrc%5Etfw

Dark explains in the video above, “I want to make it clear here that I’m not accusing Suzy Lu of doing any of these things. Obviously it could be one of her very obsessive supporters or just someone in general who dislikes me. But the timing of everything here seems suspicious.” '

Not mentioned in the article: Suzy posted a statement on Twitter about the alleged hacking, calling it "disgusting" & stating that she "does not condone such behavior", which Vara later replied to in this tweet: https://twitter.com/Vara\_Dark/status/1253449049077944334
