Virtually the whole world is horrified at what is generally seen as
genocide in Gaza. Yet Western political leaders have been egging the
Israelis on, and the legacy media have been supporting the bombing,
although attitudes are now softening under pressure of public opinion.
Perhaps that was factored in. We still don't know what really happened on 7
October, but we do now know that it wasn't quite as we had been told it
was.
The great mystery for most of the world was why our Western leaders were
going along with such atrocities.
Zionism began as a refugee crisis, which was developed by a Catholic
journalist into a 'war' – his word – to take over Palestine. That war
was initially against the British whilst the British were fighting the
Nazis and the Fascists in Europe. Zionist fighters were regarded as
terrorists. Government ministers were being called 'antisemitic'.
But then British politicians changed sides. Now even Israeli Jews can be
called 'antisemitic', together with those demonstrating in defence of the
ancient people of Judea. So what happened, and what are the implications
for the present situation in Palestine and also here in the UK?
