Hi there, πππ₯
today I'm pushing the Notes and Greetings update.
First of all, I'm excited to share that we're finishing legacy notes migration, all the previously-legacy notes are being processed using brand-new Notes engine, internally the code automatically converts older Markdown, so you don't need to do anything at all.
The new engine drastically improves the code maintenance and stability of notes in Sophie. Many very ancient notes-related issues are now just gone.
Now, the Greetings got the most significant update in the last 5 years.
Greetings now supports multiple users addings, Welcome message now supports
As an alternative you can add a Rules Button to the welcome message adding
Of course, stickers, photos, files and other buttons as well as entities (bold/italic/spoilers...) still could be set as welcome, refer to the Notes wiki for more information.
Sophie will now send initial message to the chat once she were added.
A bunch of internal code improvements such as improved cleanwelcome / cleanservice here as well.
The Welcome Security functionality moved to its own separate module in /help,
Welcome security itself now has a brand-new beautiful-looking, very engaging and easy emoji-captcha mode. The emoji-captcha was set as default and others ones are deprecated. I personally believe that this mode will provide the same level security as the older captcha and would be the same easy to solve as older math/button levels, therefore there's no need of having multiple choices.
You can see the new captcha mode video preview in the message above.
The welcome security process now automatically asks users to agree with the group's rules, it would also send a chat welcome after passing the emoji captcha in personal messages.
Like previously, I had to drop some features to let the update happen:
- Saving custom Welcome Security messages (the message the bot invites users to pass the captcha). Nevertheless, the previously saved Welcome Security Messages are still in order and will work. Please note, that this is not Welcome Messages, as the latter would be sent to the user's PM after captcha completion and still can be customized with
- Setting custom welcome security expiration date, Nevertheless, the previously saved expiration dates will continue to serve. The default one were set to 48h.
Overall, many commands were merged, please take a look at the new and clean /help pages.
The Promotes module also had a revamp in order to switch on the new framework.
The previous update (https://t.me/SophieNEWS/220) is huge, and we still didn't roll it out completely,
we're going to incorporate it with this update, therefore it could take a few weeks to be properly tested and issues being fixed before rolling it widely. Switch to the Beta version to be the first one to try!
Do not hesitate to report issues and seek for help in @SophieSupport.
Have a nice time.

ππΌ Continuing improving the new Greetings and Welcome Security modules, we added some very important bug fixes and polished other stuff.
For example, the
The hints and links in commands were fixed and improved and points now to correct commands.
The forgotted translations were also synchronized and updated.
The notes / welcome messages are now having their previews disabled.
Updating the previous message, I forgot to mention that captcha expiration is not implemented at the moment. I'm working on this issue and hopefully it'll be released in the next Beta update.
And lastly, the Stable version got a hotfix-update that improves synchronization with Beta's captcha.
The Stable branch of Sophie is continuing to use legacy, but tested welcome security module for now.
For example, the
/welcomesecurity command was added, to retrieve its settings and chat's captcha invite message. Some commands were also renamed to provide more clarity, for example, now to enable captcha you'd write /enablewelcomecaptcha instead of /enablewelcomesecurity. Check the /help for more information. The hints and links in commands were fixed and improved and points now to correct commands.

In the Beta version, fixed the regression that prevented notes and rules buttons in notes to work.
And in Stable, some greetings commands could fail to clear the cache and return a crash message instead, this should be fixed as well.
Additionally, both branches got a few more hot-fixes to improve synchronization between old and new Greetings modules.
I'm also rolling the Beta-changes to more users starting today.

Following the AI Translations update, today we're adding some more rainbow shines π
Now, translations are going to show the origin language. The message structure is also improved a bit.
π The Auto Translations got a significant update, I changed the language detection library to a more advanced one, improved internal code.
From now, Auto Translations are going to ask AI whatever the message really should be translated.
This is going to help with False Positives of slang or/and technical terms.
For those who missed the previous update: Sophie can automatically translate chat's messages to chat's selected language, to enabled this you need to write
She also can translate messages by replying
The update is already in the Beta rolling branch, and the most of chat have it already activated.

In a moment of inspiration, another small update:
From now, the AI Features are support formatting, so the issue is plain markdown in the output text is resolved as well.
Internally, I'm using the Markdown to HTML conversion (The same one as for legacy notes).

π Yet another 3 regressions were fixed for Notes and other places where the notes engine is used.
- The captions for photo messages were restored. The reason was the forgotten "supports captions" tag for photo media type.
- Another issue is the buttons parser, the ':same' modifier had an incorrect behavior after the last update, which caused :same buttons to appear on the next line in some cases. Now it's fixed and should work as before.
- Lastly, in some niche-cases, after parsing buttons or fillings the note text was empty, it could've crash Sophie, now this issue is gone as well!
Do not hesitate to join @SophieSupport and report any issues you're experiencing with Sophie. Most subtle issues like these are discovered by our community.
If you're using Beta mode - the update is already available for you. We're going to deploy to the Stable and Auto modes in upcoming days.
Enjoy.

Then, resolved an issue of
{mention} filling, that could render as a raw HTML string, I also added the support of multiple users join, in the case of using this filling in welcome message. For good measure, some external components were updated, to keep them in-sync with the latest improvements.
Lastly, some internal changes for AI features were developed, which improves maintaining chat-context and improved its cognitive performance.

Good evening,
βΉοΈ The previous bug fixes have been successfully deployed to Stable mode, and we are now starting a new round of Beta testing.
Today, the Beta mode received the major STFU (Sophie Text Formatting Utility) update, and testing is underway. This new library update serves as a precursor to our next big release. Stay tuned for more information!
π In addition, the AI module has been further refined to minimize false positives during automatic message translation. I'm excited to see how well it performs now!
