subject - አድራጊውን ለመወከል
object - ድርጊት የተፈፀመበትን ለመወከል
possessive - ባለቤትነትን ለማመላከት

First person - ተናጋሪው ስለተናጋሪዉ ሲናገር፦

we - አኛ   us - እኛ   our - የኛ

Second person  - ተናጋሪዉ ለአድማጩ ሲናገር ፦

(subject/ object) እንደሁለቱም ያገለግላል

Third person - ስለሚታማው ግለሰብ ሲወራ፦

do - ትዕዛዝ ለመስጠት

do your job properly.

do - ስራዉ በአግባቡ እንደተሰራ ለመጠየቅ.

1. do I do my job correctly everyday?
2. do we do our job correctly every week?
3. do you do your job correctly every month?
4. do they do their job correctly every 12 hours?


does- ታሚዉ ድርጊቱን ማድረጉን ለመጠየቅ

Example:- 1. does she work everyday?
                   2.does he work every day?
                  3.does it work everyday?

does- ምላሽ ለመስጠት

Example:-1. yes,she does  work everyday.
2. yes, he does  work everyday.
3. yes, it does work everyday.


                  

Can-:- ብቃትን ለለመነገር/ ለመጠየቅ

Example:- 1. Can you do it by yourself?
   Answer - yes, I can do it by myself.

Could:- ያለፈ መቻልን ለመናገር/ለመጠየቅ ወይም (politeness) ለማሳየት።

Example:- 1. Could he have done it?
         Answer - yes, he could have.

I could drive you home today, if you want.(politeness)

May :- ይቻል ይሆን ብሎ ለመጠየቅ/ ሊደረግ እንደሚችል ለመናገር

Example:- 1. May, I get in?
       Answer-  yes , you may.


Might -በትንሹም ቢሆን ሊሆን እንደሚችል ለመናገር

Example - it might be missing.

is - መሆንን ለመጠየቅ

1.is he the doctor that you were telling me about?
Answer- yes he is/ no he is not.
2. is - she a pilot?
Answer- yes she is/ no she is not.


are -  መሆንን ለመጠየቅ

1. Are they the pilots that you were talking about?
Answer- yes they are/no they are not.

2. Are we going to walk home?
Answer- yes,we are / no we are not.

am-  መሆንን ለመጠየቅ

1. am I the person your looking for?
