On July 16 members of the Free Women's Movement #TJA discussed the Treaty of #Lausanne in a workshop in #Amed
📃 In their final declaration they stated:
📢 "The Treaty of Lausanne signed on July 24, 1923, brought genocide, assimilation, forced migration & associated massacres to the peoples living in this geography."
📢 "While this treaty was regarded as the deed of foundation of the Republic of Turkey, it turned into a populicide for those who do not have Turkish and Sunni identities. The Kurds, the Armenians, the Greeks, the Assyrians, the Jews, the Ezidis, and many other identities who are the ancient peoples of this geography faced the violent methods of the nation-state policies, pushing them into disappearance."

➡️ Several villages of Til Rifat were hit by at least 30 howitzer & mortar attacks
➡️ The village of Merenaz (Shera district) was shelled 10 times
➡️ During Turkey's aggression on Til Rifat, the civilian man Azad Hisên Guldedo sustained a head injury & is being treated in hospital
➡️ This is not an isolated incident, the intensified Turkish attacks deliberately threaten civilian lives
