YPJ commander Dilbirîn Kobane on the ongoing campaign against ISIS cells at al-Hol camp:

"We saved 4 women kept in chains in a tent used as a prison. They were married at young age, their will was broken. They were tortured & threatened with death. They need psychological therapy. We brought them to a safe place & take care of them. (...) The Yazidi women from Shengal who was found in the camp was kidnapped at young age. She was waiting for years for this day on which she will be liberated from the heavy violence she faced. (...) We were observing the situation inside the camp & often shared our concerns with the international press. There have been many murders. Women are married at young age. As YPJ we dont accept this. Wherever there are women facing oppression, it's our duty to protect them.”

The #SDF released a statement saying that 2 of their fighters were killed in a clash within al-#Hol camp.

The 2 fighters were injured last night while stopping 7 #ISIS members from escaping the camp. Today they died as a result of their injuries.

#SDF:

"Two of our fighters were martyred of their severe wounds following a clash that erupted last night with a 7-terrorist #ISIS cell, including two women and five men masquerading as women in Phase 5th where they were trying to escape from the al-Hol camp."

Wefa Ali Abas, a #Yazidi woman who was liberated by #YPJ forces from imprisonment by #ISIS in the al-#Hol Camp, has been reunited with her family through the help of the Free Yazidi Women's Movement TAJÊ

🤝 The @coalition sat at the same table with #YPJ Commander Jiyan, discussing on how to #DefeatISIS.

Another #Yazidi women was rescued from being held by #ISIS.

#YPJ forces identified another Yazidi women who was held by ISIS members at al-#Hol camp. In the ongoing security campaign 6 women were liberated from ISIS captivity by YPJ.

The al-#Hol camp is a particularly dangerous place; thousands of #ISIS members are detained here. Security forces have been killed, women enslaved & children indoctrinated.

Today our forces searched the section for foreigners, where women from around 50 different nations live.

Sources from within al-#Hol camp confirm that #ISIS women train children how to kill.

Al-Hol camp is a breeding ground for the next generation of #jihadists.

This is Riweyda Hemud Salim.

She was arrested during the ongoing security operation against #ISIS cells in al Hol camp.

🔹born 1989, #Iraq
🔹arrested: 7/9/22, al-#Hol camp
🔹joins #ISIS cells in the camp in late 2019
🔹created special unit “Ensar El Efifat Bataillon”
🔹aim: killing camp security forces & women not following ISIS rules


➡️ Salim is responsible for dozens of murders within the camp.
➡️ She had connections with #ISIS cells outside the camp.
➡️ One woman (Umida Ummihemed) she killed with a hammer, her body was thrown in the canalization.
➡️ She murdered other women with smuggled weapons.

In an interrogation she says:
“I dont regret any of these actions.”

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in NE-#Syria announced the end of the security campaign against #ISIS cells at al-#Hol camp.

Outcome:
➡️ 226 arrestees incl. 36 women
➡️ 25 tunnels & trenches were found
