We are delighted to welcome Cohort 35 YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa alumni to the YALI RLC EA Ethiopia Chapter. We had an interesting conversation about how their stay at YALI center was awesome and how the program transformed them.
During our conversation Feven Alemseged, Cohort 35 alumni said: " After finishing the course, This is Africa, I realized that I am not only an Ethiopian, I am an African too." Similarly Noha, Cohort 35 alumni said " The program is well designed, for me, not only I learn the course, but I also learn how to design a course"

@YALIEthiopia had a productive weekend in Mekelle. We joined the U.S. Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Amb. Tibor Nagy, at the official opening of Mekelle American Corner(MAC) inside Mekelle University. We got a chance to present, how YALI is impacting the Young people in Ethiopia through its alumni and the Alumni Chapter. We also told, #AmericanSpacesEthiopia is helping YALI alumni outreach and impacts in different cities via the Alumni sub-chapter. Assistant Secretary Amb. Tibor also appreciates our effort in giving back to our community.

Last weekend @YALIEthiopia Chapter launched its Sub-chapter in Mekelle alongside the opening of the Mekelle American Corner by cake cutting ceremony and a presentation from the Alumni Chapter of Ethiopia. The aim of the sub-chapter is to expand our alumni's outreaches and impacts in their community. The U.S. Embassy Addis Ababa Spokesperson John Ice joined us and encouraged us to keep continue our giving back to the community activities.
The coming weekend, we will launch Alumni Sub-chapter in Bahir Dar and Dire Dawa.
