Verbiage was outdated and various “buttons” were not working. The last several weeks we have been updating the verbiage and ensuring that the buttons were both necessary and functional.

This updating of the website remains a work in progress, but please have a look at the progress we have made. See Home, About, and Team Tabs. We also made what updates we could to the ‘Donate’ tab. We are unable to remove the red asterisk that misleads donors into thinking they have to give a monthly donation, but we were able to input some more attention-grabbing verbiage just above.

Time for rest.

I was reminded when I listened to my November 6, 2021 remarks above that we live and learn.

Painful as it is, we learn with the passage of time that many we trusted as friends turned out to be enemies. Time reveals all things.

But we still love them. We do not want anyone to spend eternity in hell.

I fear that many do not fully understand how God deals with liars. Do those that lie and deceive not know God??? Do they not know that Jesus Christ is the TRUTH and the devil is the liar of liars???

Do they not truly know God and have a close personal relationship with Jesus Christ???

God knows EVERYTHING about you in this world, but if you do not know Him, He does not know you in the end.

So I pray for those who deceived me or lie about me.

I pray for you too.

I pray for my family and my friends, real and fake.

I pray for President Trump.

I pray for our country.

I pray for ALL.

Rest well tonight.

Who knows what tomorrow holds???

Only God knows.

John, I have a question for you. Is Lt. Governor Mark Robinson dirty?

Thank you for your question, Sally, about Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson.

Short answer: I don’t know. Time will tell.

My long answer presents 2 opposing views, but my impression of Mark leans toward 'dirty.’

I. Why Mark might be dirty

My definition of a dirty politician at this point is any politician who is not willing to fix our obviously broken election system. I can tell you that my one personal interaction with Lt. Gov. Robinson was negative, at least with regard to election integrity.

That one occasion was his Christmas Party in 2021. I was a guest of a friend and colleague in an effort to have a full forensic audit (“compliance study”) of NC's elections. During my photo op I broached the subject of a potential audit for election fraud, mentioning my friend had done “great work” toward that end. He responded with a dismissive, “Oh HAS she now?” His attitude that night reminded me of the Santa Clause from A Christmas Story who booted Ralphie down the slide after Ralphie had finally managed to express the words “Red Ryder bb gun.” While Mark didn’t literally put his boot on my face to nudge me down a slide, he did usher me toward the buffet, changing the subject to how great the food was.

Mark has disappointed me with his silence on election integrity. A member of his staff had been in contact with my same friend & colleague who'd led an effort for an audit of NC. The staffer conveyed that the Lt. Governor's "official position [about an audit] was not to have a position." Knowing that, along with my firsthand experience with him at his Christmas party, I then for a long time felt inclined to write Mark off. I would have thought that with his memorable speech about how we as Americans "run toward trouble," that he would be barreling toward straightening out NC's elections. That doesn't seem to be the case.

II. Why Mark MIGHT be worth a 2nd look

Others who care about restoring integrity to our elections have expressed otherwise. They imply that Mark is merely keeping his powder dry until the right moment. I imagine you know the expression: “timing is everything.”

Note how in the 2022 “midterms” the election integrity candidates ended up “losing” despite those elections' having higher turnout among voters than the 2018 midterms. Candidates such as Kemp & DeSantis had lower turnouts than in 2018, but won by considerably higher margins. (Do you smell that same rat about 2022?)

Perhaps Mark cares more about having honest elections than what he lets on, assuming he could smell what was coming in 2022. In other words, he might sense that the more he sounds the alarm about the rig, the more likely he'll alert the cheaters to rip him off when his time comes.

Given what I saw in this sham of a midterm election, such instincts might have merit. I believe Kari Lake and many other candidates who were Trump-endorsed or vocal proponents of honest elections were robbed.

Maybe Mark is merely being careful not to anger the “little-g” gods of the cheat until he’s in office. If the GOP maintains its legislative majority in 2024 and if Mark sneaks through the cheat, then it's slightly more possible that the legislature could take meaningful action. Actually, it's currently possible with the NCGOP's 'veto-proof' supermajority to do something without him in power, but likely much more difficult in practical terms. The NCGOP might also simply need his leadership.

Conclusion

I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but I still lean toward the view that Mark's dirty. If "elected," I fear that Mark and the legislators would all fallaciously point to their own "electoral successes" as evidence that there's nothing wrong with NC's elections. Under the misguided belief that NC is "a purple state," they'd be more concerned about potential media coverage of them as "conspiracy theorists." They would not act in the fundamentally important way to restore faith in our republic by restoring honesty to NC elections.

In theory, I’m happy to stand with you, Mark. I ask that you give straight answers to my questions, rather than dodge them by redirecting me to buffet line.

By the way, I recall that the food that night in We The People of NC’s lovely Lt. Governor’s mansion WAS in fact “good.” I suppose that’s one promise you’ve kept.

I’m happy to stand with you, Mark, if you’re willing to stand up for honest elections. Absent honest elections, “our Republic will not survive.”
