In honor of the late Coolio, I decided to play what I believe was his greatest hit – "Gangsta's Paradise" from the soundtrack of the movie Dangerous Minds.

I first heard this song when I was 13. The very first line "As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death" grabbed my attention, even though at age 13 I did not know Psalm 23.

I would describe this song as one that typified the mid-90's MTV era. Yet, the song's title has never been more timely. We live in a fallen – and what at least seems to be – an increasingly tyrannical world.

In the last several years the concept of law and order has been turned inside out. Our political and legal systems are a joke. Our political leaders are selected, rather than elected. When trying to fix 2020, we looked for courage in both our state and federal legislators to uphold the Constitution. We instead found cowardice with almost every single lawmaker.

Justice is selectively applied. Truth, the supposed foundation of the US justice system, is but another travesty. To top it off, those who pursue truth to achieve justice are subject to "professional discipline." Ha!

For many, it also seems that faith has become a frivolity. People can't be bothered with it. Last weekend one of my very best friends gifted to each of us a Bible with our initials monogrammed on the outside, hoping we would begin a Bible study. Once he was out of earshot, another friend commented, "yea, that [Bible study] is not gonna happen."

Perhaps the most troubling reveal with regard to faith are the apostate pastors who are willing to allow an experimental drug derived from aborted fetal tissue and with known harmful side effects to be forced upon members of their congregations. I'm sure these pastors would try to defend their positions by arguing that they were on the side of 'public safety.' I'm also sure that the 'Committee of Public Safety' during France's 'Reign of Terror' would say the same thing to justify its ordering of 17,000 people to the guillotine.

If such a corrupt and fallen world is not a "paradise" for gangsters and all other manner of satanic slime, I don't know what is.

Rest in Peace, Coolio. Anyone who listens to your heart and is not distracted by your profane words should know, or have reason to believe, that you stood up to the evil with which you were faced.

Thank you for your kind words. Speaking of words, you and I seem to share an appreciation for them, and how they evolve.

I came up with ReClublican myself several weeks ago when I published an article from The Conservative Treehouse about Ron DeSantis as a “2014 Ted Cruz 2.0.” The problem is that the term ReClublican only covers the RINO faction of the Deep State.

The term ‘ReClubliCrat’ also includes the Democrats. As disgusted as we are with the traitors in our own midst, we can’t forget the ones who’ve been the obvious communists from the beginning.

ReClubliCrat is also a blend of a term a friend of mine from NC came up with – RePubliCrat. In a phone conversation in early January of 2021, he told me he had been in my state of frustration back in 2016 when trying to help his then preferred candidate Ted Cruz. To paraphrase what I remember, he had essentially given up on trying to make a difference via politics once he concluded that the Republicans and Democrats were pigs of only a superficially different stripe, who all were drinking from the same trough of corruption. “John, at some point I realized they were just a bunch of Republicrats.”

Well, radical globalist democrats and their fake enemy RINO counterparts are all, in my view, part of the same ‘Club.’ So, I derive from all this the term ReClubliCrat.

You claim you aren’t “scared of any of the news media.” Good for you!

So what are you scared of, Mark? Why were you scared to take a definitive stance on the integrity of NC’s voting systems or fixing 2020? Why did your assistant tell one of my colleagues that your “official position [was] not to have a position” with regard to a full forensic audit?

I also vividly recall your dismissal to me of any kind of an election audit back in December of 2021. While graciously receiving guests in your home, I mentioned to you that my friend had some a lot of great work with trying to put together a full forensic audit. You responded to me verbatim, “oh HAS she now?!” Then you urged me to follow you to the buffet.

But hey…other than the fact that you won’t speak out on the most important issue facing this country, which is whether the votes we cast are the votes that count, GREAT speech!

I would have liked to hear more from Mark directly as well, but he clearly does not want to be heard on this subject. In my one interaction with him, he dodged and deflected.

As for Sen. Hise, I’m with you 100%. See my pinned message from almost a year ago.

What an absolute non-answer he gave your question. We weren’t asking for any election to be “changed,” or at least I wasn’t. We just wanted to ensure compliance, when there was strong evidence to believe our elections systems were not in compliance. You might note that my pinned message, now almost a year old, was addressed to Sen. Hise and the other two co-chairmen of the NC Senate Standing Committee on Redistricting and Elections. I’ll politely remind everyone that none of the numerous state lawmakers on that email ever responded.

That said, Hise is also wrong if he thinks there can be no change to an election outcome once certified. Certification might be “it” for willful ignoramuses such as Hise, but the Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that “fraud vitiates every thing.” U.S. v. Throckmorton, 98 U.S. 61, 66 (1878).

How convenient of Hise to blame his failure to act on the likely veto of the governor. What a cop out. If people in his position had at least tried, people would be upset with Comrade Cooper, and not the surrender-monkey Republicans. I can’t as easily blame Gov. Cooper for something he would have likely done as I could blame Hise and these other sell-outs for what they have done, or rather failed to do.

Hise and his fellow ReCLUBlicans could have compelled the disclosure of information from the NC State Board of Elections without needing the signature of the governor. See N.C. Gen. Stat. § 120-19. All I was asking for were forensic images of electronic voting systems. As best I can tell, they did not even try because I never received a response, and I know others also sent these three co-chairs emails.

And yes – PRAY.
