I stopped asking my little sister to learn coding. I just recommend good movies to her and encourage her to spend hours on Pinterest (she's passionate about fashion design).
English is the last and the best programming language. It'd be crazy to force her to memorize HTML tags when it's been over a year since I stopped rawdogging Swift.
Learn problem-solving, learn how to articulate your ideas well, and learn how to communicate your progress online. You'll do well, if not great and you won't be required to dumb yourself down to high-level programming language syntax.
