I remember last year at Triller, some bug I introduced passed QA (they were tough on us) and later my coworker (now at Novarch LLC) found out I made a logic mistake using the ternary if else operator...

The mistake as psudo code of the line was something like this:
Notification bell icon image = notifications = 0 ? bell with red : bell without red

I was fancy enough to use ternary, but not focused enough which asset was the one that should be there for when there was no notifications

Anyways, bug stayed till next sprint and the PM didn't notice, the Indians didn't notice, I was just annoyed that I see notification icon telling me I have unread messages, but nothing there... I just did not get it


That bug landed the #2 Photos & Videos category app on the App Store while TikTok was banned from the US for a while
