Never been this much hope for anyone starting fresh in this field (esp if you want to start your own thing)
Not sure what this question means
1
You’re right. That’s why you have to start building an audience that goes with you when you switch.
2
Used to post a lot (esp on LinkedIn) and I share my personal and school projects for each course and I was not afraid to make mistakes in public. Whatever I think I understand I post about it and people will correct me which by itself creates the network and visibility I needed
Tomorrow’s the day 🥳

We’re hosting what we believe will be the biggest hackathon in Ethiopia at Adwa Museum, with around 58 teams and 290 participants, building for one and a half days straight.

We set out with three goals:

* Make it the biggest hackathon Ethiopia has seen

* Make it Ethiopia’s first AI hackathon, where teams get real AI tools to build AI products

* Help real startups come out of it, not just demos that end after the pitch

Huge shoutout to all our partners who helped make this possible.

Good luck to every team. See you at Adwa Museum🫶

Just avoid jargons

I never post a piece of code, nor do I get too technical for it to break the brain of my readers

You can share relatable memes, lessons learned, projects and why you built them or their purpose

Story telling instead of signaling how smart you are

Watch Apple keynotes, they talk applications and not techniques or nitty gritty details of architecture most times (esp for consumer facing posts and content)

All my projects went to iCloud Drive and I don't have the best internet to download them. Git worktrees don't seem to appreciate that, and Claude can't index a folder to work on.

And that's why I got a high sleep score last night

I love The Amazing Spiderman more and I don’t remember the early versions of Spiderman, and I don’t think I followed through Tom Holland’s

It’s just weird that I’m not a Marvel geek
Wait, I’m one of the mentors overseeing teams on the biggest hackathon Ethiopia has ever hosted? 👀

Great timing for when my Claude subscription ends

I'm hopping they give Cursor credits at the hackathon

Am I so cool for choosing Codex over Claude Code when my CEO asks which one they should spoil me with?

Insights from today’s side-quest

- HandleMe should be on Android
- Many Ethiopians do not have Apple Wallet initialized, which makes it impossible for them to subscribe to apps from the App Store
- I have many people who are interested in at least trying our apps
