Ledgerly iOS Beta 1.0(2) is out 🥳
This version removes the need to enter API keys for third-party services, such as those for exchange rates and real-time investment pricing. It also deprecates the AI insights feature for now.

We need to rest as a community I guess

Odit.et macos app demo
This video demonstrates how to use an app that accesses and parses iPhone message data stored in iCloud. The app requires full disk access permission to load the database file and then syncs the data to a backend for analysis, displaying parsed information…
@Robi_makes_stuff (Robi) made the macOS client of Odit open source. I just forked it, and I will see if I can help him ship it to the App Store or other stores (since macOS apps do not need to be from the App Store necessarily). I personally admire Robi and his attention to detail when it comes to UI/UX. I may nudge him to take this project seriously and maintain his support, because I assume there is a lot to be done.
When it comes to automatic sync of financial insight, both Totals (from Detached Space) and Odit made their way around, and it is joyful to see how creative they got with it all to bypass the App Store policies.
Ledgerly and these two products do not solve the same problem. And if we are talking business, I don’t think our market niche is similar to each other’s. At the end of the day, the community wins in having options to choose from according to their needs and priorities.
Treat this as the first memo I write after fully accepting to father Odit for Apple ecosystem from the Odit-pappa himself.

If the tech bros/tech baddies in the community (creators) run for the House of Representatives seat, who would you choose and why?
