For proof. Check starting pages of PDF .

BTS - Breakthrough series. It was taught in very short period of time by me on a youtube platform in 14 hours. A month before prelims . Where the UPSC secret resoucres were revealed and taught in short, from where UPSC is constantly asking questions since 2014. In starting it was done only for ancient history subject where people don't even know the sources of UPSC prelims questions.

Not the elimination techniques but the "common sense" needed in exam .
Last minute brain stimulation exercise for prelims.
Stay attentive in reading.
(Invest ur 5 minutes)

1- "Acc to constitution" written in quest with quotes "xyz" in question : Be attentive here. Mostly wrong it is.
Eg: word "judicial review" defined in constitution ? (Ans : Not defined ). stay attentive for such "___".

2- Adjectives . Very, a lot , never. Keep attention here . Mostly put knowingly to manufacture/tweak the statement.

3- Conjunction words .
But not , and not , while . mostly wrong.
4- If "1 only" is in the option - it is part of ans or itself is the ans .
5- All statements are generally not correct . Atleast one statement is wrong . So while choosing "all" . Thing again.

6- Odd/different one out . (Both Positive and negative sense )
Suppose one option is negative and other 3 positive.Take that negative as ans.Vice versa too.
Eg : Suppose there are three statements relating to financial sector and one is related to environment sector. Chose that odd one as ans.

7-Proverb wrong but subject correct format.
Eg : suppose half statment is very right and in the hurry u read that half part only however in the other half of the Statement there is a tweak . So read full sentence till end. Even if it is a big statment .

8-Two contradictory can't be together in same option. So choose options . ( You can call it elimination) but still common sense .

9- extreme statements wrong and take open and broad one as right .
Eg: Most of the Indian farmers are small farmers. (It's general statment . Take right).

10- Over explained statements are wrong .
Eg : in statement a lot of things are explained, may be facts or data . Then chances are high that examiner won't write unnecessarily. Probably something is fissy.

11- Artificially made statements with normal English words are taken as doubtful & natural statements (copy paste ones) with good heavy English words are right . They are taken as it is from source. (Think examiner won't write such heavy words with self brain, so copy pasted).

12- Tough to verify statements are right .
Eg :say in geography
"surface of moon has very complex structure which has rocks , ashes , heavy metals etc etc." See u can't verify it . Not even scientist verify 100% . So take it generic and right.

13- Advantages/benefits/objective of scheme- take positive looking statements right.

14- Two similar looking statements are not right but one among them is surely right . And one is wrong . So choose with common sense.

15- Linked ( same features) statement remain together or absent together.

If Statment 3 is by product of statment 1 then they will go hand in hand . . Swim and sink together principle .

16- In one liner options generally option comes towards D option. Not in ABC.
and mostly the most simple looking option is the correct answer.

17-No overthinking in Polity questions. No hairsplitting. Else you will get negative marks.

18- Exact Data is generally wrong . Like 10 degree celsius of cyclone question.(no approx is written)

19- When stuck in 2 options . Take doubt Vs double doubt rule. Take doubt statement as right .means less doubtful option is right.

20- Try to find meaning/logic from words given in statement. eg. Barahsingha in 2020 given in bracket as Hindi. So a north Indian word. Hence Kanha National park was ans.

21- Check sequence. If questionsnare coming or Science. Then the ans will be of scientific options only . Not economy, humanities etc .
Eg : "Term" in news type questions

23- check grammar.
Assertiveness makes statement wrong .
Eg.
leads is wrong .
May lead is right .

Causes wrong
Can cause is right

is/are - assertive words .
May/might - not assertive

24- If there is a PYQ theme is repeated in option. Then high chances of it getting correct.
Eg. Ashoka , North east, Tribe , Buddism/Jainism , Akbar , Gandhi , Mediterranean sea etc .

25- UNESCO sites are imp . Ajanta , Ellora , Hampi etc are generally answer.

Not the elimination techniques but the "common sense" needed in exam . Last minute brain stimulation exercise for prelims. Stay attentive in reading. (Invest ur 5 minutes) 1- "Acc to constitution" written in quest with quotes "xyz" in question : Be attentive…
A person asked on helpline to explain point number 21 i.e.
"check sequence rule" :

Here it is for all too :

Suppose there are questions of economy in sequence coming. Then all of sudden a one liner question comes asking . And you don't know answer.

Q: The term "ABCDXYZ" has been in news . It is related to ?

A- Bio ethanol production
B- financial crimes as reported by RBI
C- space technology used in exploration of exo planets
D- NONE OF THE ABOVE

now you check what are the previous 2-3 and next 2-3 questions .

If suppose they are of economy . Then you can sense that this question above will also be of economy only and ans is probably B . Means financial crimes. Because questions appear in the set of 10 questions per subject in sequence(mostly). So jis subeject ka aage piche hoga question usi ka ye onliner bhi hoga question.

(Not a trick but common sense)
#learn_with_veternas.

If you feel any dobut , any issue , confidence down , skipping attempt thoughts etc for prelims 2024 . Ask on helpline @HelplineX_IAS. A possible genuine help will be done in possible capacities .

A sincere helping post .

It's 4 days to prelims . To those (specially who failed CSAT anytime in any year) and fear of it most. Please poll with honest views . (It's an anonymous poll) .
Obviously not a post guiding you about any important topic in CSAT. But it will be about the temperament which is the key to clear CSAT.

Remember ? why ethics is last and lenghtiest paper in mains and taken as the last paper after 3 consecutive GS papers ?

Ans: to check the decision making skills of an administrator in extreme pressure situations. So tested after you exhaust in GS1,GS2,GS3 and then forced to write lenghtiest GS4 including case studies.

So is the CSAT. CSAT is nothing but ethics paper of prelims. You will be tired , exhausted , off mind due to silly mistakes done in GS paper in morning and you face tough CSAT paper which gives you mini heart attack while attempting it.
Because , when you reach home after finishing the paper you will realise most of CSAT questions are solvable at home with calm mind . So please conclude it in mind now that it is not just test of knowledge only but also of temperament too.

Now,
Question: Then how to control this temperament when there is hell lot of anxiety you having in these 4 days ?

Answer : Have faith and listen to those 15-20 minutes of below video. Who knows what helps you at what juncture of last time and you secure your Ticket to Mains (TTM).

Thing is- Bas haarna nahi hai !!

Keep fighting and fight untill it is finished. Ekdum hero nahi ban-na hai untill it is done. Not to demean but Bade bade dhurandhar & ego holder IITian ko dekha hai CSAT mein dhubte. Batata nahi koi. So stay humble & respect CSAT.

WATCH THESE MICROCONTRABLES OF CSAT IN THIS SHORT VIDEO .
Ho jayega ❀️
Best wishes.

Detailed micro check list . Save this message now for D -day check list.

-Chocolates for instant energy, protein bars.
-Dupatta Or gamcha against heat.

-Whitener for corrections in worst case(if not allowed then leave it outside in bag). Usage have been explained in video @X_IAS.

-Headache medicine or balm in heat. Any other medicine like of cramps, BP etc if you take regularly. ENO for acidity if u suffer .

-Black pen for Bubbling OMR. (Liquiflow type , ask shopkeeper)

-Tiffin and food.  Little sugary items have in diet.

-Admit card. Try colored one. Read instructions carefully as this time entry closes 30 minutes before the exam starts.

-Simulation: Turn off ACs, practice in FAN for 2-3 days . Simulate brain and body.

-Analog watch : For people who have issue with time management (like me) due to watch cycle.
Can try this way:- Make your watch time cycle simpler. As exam starts from 9:30 . So it makes little messy to calculate in 00:30 minutes . Like an hour = 9:30 to 10:30 type issue . So make simpler cycle. Adjust your watch to 10:00 to 12:00.  when exam starts.  You will see simpler hour break up like 10-11 and 11-12.  Simple ! I did it in many prelims.   Helped in time management. (Advise : practice it at home too).

- Sleep Start sleeping at 10 PM now for 4 days. See lite memes etc before sleeping. Else what u read before bed , roams in your sleep .  Train ur brain to be active in 9-12 mode . Don't sleep during that time.
If sleep issue . Drink cow milk(lite cold and sweetened) before retiring to bed. Helps in good sleep.

-Hydrarion: Keep hydrating yourself on exam day . Take 2 frozen water bottle with you in bag.  It will be cold water whole day.

- Change money/ Cash :

-Sleep cycle
U might feel sleep less ness.  Not an issue. It's normal . Very normal. If it happens on exam day too and you worry that u can't sleep . Relax , close your eyes and rest . Let the Melatonin (sleep regulator) release in darkness. It will relax you and give rest to eyes even if no sleep.
-Handkerchief: for those who have pen slip issue in sweaty hand writing.
- 2 photographs

- 2 ID card.  (Preferred : AADHAR , PAN)

-Common sense : which is it not so common these days. Read exam centre location carefully. Search on google map.  Ex : many people  got delayed to exam centre in past years when there were 5 sarvodaya vidhyalaya at same location in delhi. ( One boys  school, one girls school , one co-ed etc of same name) . So be careful of exact pincode address.

- put a paper slip in your bag and write your parents' phone number on that slip (in case of bag lost). Telling because ,I found last year a bag lost at centre.

-Others: Metro card , cab booking , micro notes of revision, Maa Baap aur ishwar ka ashirvad lena mat bhulna. 😊 Don't forget taking those blessings ❀️
All the best champions !

As an ethical responsibility I didn't post any content or any video which can bring your moral down. Neither it will be posted to give you any FOMO . just posting 4 images from a document I prepared and I feel it is important. Have a glance through it. You won't generally find such things in mainstream content and upsc is continuously asking such things from research documents of historians.

No new content policy just before exam !!

But some mnemonics to secure your +2 marks from International organisation or IR area through mnemonics. I used to see these two pages just one day before examination. Almost everytime it helped in securing +2 marks. Why now ? Because it's revised a day before exam only.
