Food travels thousands of miles from producers to consumers.
Some people think that it would be better for the environment and economy if people only ate the local food produced by farmers.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Before coming to consumers from producers, food travels from remote destinations. There is a view that it would be beneficial not only for the economy but also environment if individuals solely consumed the local food produced by farmers. I partly agree with this statement as I recognize the benefits of foreign food products.
Admittedly, there are several upsides to eating domestic food. First, the most promising positive aspects of local food is its cost-efficiency and quantity. It is no secret that locally produced food can inexpensive, since there will not any tax for the product. Moreover, some local vegetables such as potato or onion are widely available for the population, thereby its cost is not be high-priced. As well as this, some food produced by farmers is somehow eco-friendly and do not travel thousand of miles. In this way, there is no need any transportation which produces carbon emissions for bringing them.
Nevertheless, I would argue that the positive outcomes of imported food are worth mentioning. To begin with, some products such as coffee or citrus fruits are not available in local country. Therefore, it would better for government to import such products instead of producing them in domestic areas. Aside from that the quality of most foreign products are very high in preference to local ones. For instance, large number of individuals prefer widely-recognized products such as McDonald's or KFC, thereby many local community will not purchase domestic counterparts. Hence, it is economically advisable to import products from abroad.
In conclusion, though there are numerous advantages of eating local food for both the environment and economy, the positive sides of importing food from other countries should not be overlooked.

In many countries, most shops and products become identical. Some people think it is a positive development, while others believe it is a negative development.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
It is undeniable that many products and shops are becoming similar around the world. There is a view that this trend is positive, while I believe that it has many negative implications.
Admittedly, there are several upsides to the similarity of shops and products in many countries.
First, it helps to develop the marketing brand.
It is no secret that some brands such as Coca-Cola or Pepsi have already gained popularity since these products are being sold in nearly every nation.
As well as this, some infrastructure of shops are being preferred by most countries.
In this way, several shop styles ( pop-up and local artisan markets) are the most preferable choice when building new shops.
Nevertheless, I would argue that the negative sides of the identicality of productions and stores are worth mentioning.
To begin with, it affects the competition between brand products in many ways.
For instance, if there is only one type of brand like Pepsi which is sold widely, there will not be any attention to the other kinds of beverages.
Aside from that, similar shops can be annoying or boring for customers.
Now that the styles of shops are identical in many countries, individuals try to find other kinds of shops, contributing to the decrease in customer numbers in markets.
In conclusion, though the similarity of products as well as shops around the world is not without its downsides, the advantages of this trend should not be overlooked.

Some people think money is the best gift to give it to youngsters, while others disagree.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
These days, many people are giving various types of gifts to the children. There is a view that money is the most appropriate way to give a gift to youngsters. However, I believe that this is not the best gift.
Admittedly, there are several upsides to giving money to children as a gift. First, monetary gifts can cover the immediate needs of youngsters. It is a secret that children may be hungry at school or want to dress their favorite clothes, thereby their own money can address these types of problems. As well as this, receiving money as a gift can enhance a child`s decision-making skills. Now that they have their own money, children learn to spend their money wisely day by day. For example, they could purchase things only the most appropriate ones, thereby they can easily ,, work '' with their budget in the future.
Nevertheless, I would argue that giving money as a gift is not the best present in many ways. To begin with, some educational books or fairy tales can be the optimal gift as opposed to money.
Since reading books can broaden their horizon's, they can develop their mindset by reading different educational books such as encyclopedia and novels. Aside from that, various types of toys or toy-related items can be excellent presents for youngsters. When they receive toys as a gift, they try to keep and play with them. Therefore, they not only have fun with their favorite toys but also learn to preserve their valuable gifts.
In conclusion, though money can be the best gift for children in some ways, I am of the opinion that it is not the greatest present for some obvious reasons.

In some countries the government promotes public transport as the primary means of transportation, and discourages private vehicle ownership.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of this policy?
It is undeniable that some governments are encouraging public transport as the main type of transportation, and reducing the use of private vehicles in many countries. Although this trend can be seen as a drawback, I strongly believe that the benefits of it are far more significant.
Admittedly, there are several downsides to promoting public transport and preventing private one. First, this policy can create/cause a protest among some individuals.
It is not a secret that the majority of wealthy or diplomatic individuals will not prefer to use public transport such as the bus or metro, and they more probably choose their own private cars to commute or go to their destination. Therefore, if the government enacts the aforementioned policy, there may be disagreement between diplomats and governments. As well as this, the reduction of utilizing private vehicles can affect the economy of the country. Now that a large number of the population of the country uses public vehicles as a prime means of transportation, there will be less attention toward private cars. Hence, the sales of these cars could be diminished, thereby it has detrimental effects on the budget of the country.
Nevertheless, I would argue that the positive outcomes of developing the usage of public transportation as well as decreasing the ownership of private transportation are worth mentioning. To begin with, this policy can have a positive impact on the environment. Since each car produces hazardous gas called carbon dioxide, this gas can pollute the atmosphere. By declining the figure for private cars, governments can address this environmental issue. Aside from that, governments and people can take advantage of choosing buses or metro as primary transportation. For instance, people can save up their money by using public transport, while the government reduces the demand for oil or petrol by discouraging private cars.
In conclusion, though promoting public transportation and preventing private one is not without its disadvantages, I am of the opinion that the advantage of this trend should not be overlooked.
