Know your priorities

Experts recommend the following list of priorities for survival in the event of a disaster:

Immediate rescue: if a building is on fire, get out; if someone is shooting at you, move for cover. Whatever the immediate danger, get away from it.

First Aid: Take care of medical problems resulting from the disaster. Check yourself for injuries and give yourself first aid.

Self-defense: if you are in danger (e.g., near predatory animals), you should arm yourself. This could be a sharpened stick, knife, or any other item that will allow you to defend yourself.

Physical needs: shelter, fire, water, food, and hygiene.

It's also worth noting that almost every survival instructor, doctor, and teacher recommends one key survival rule that everyone should follow: positivity. A positive attitude will give you the mental and emotional stamina to stay safe.

Fractures and dislocations

A dislocated bone needs to be put back in its place. There are many tutorials on YouTube that you can follow to learn the basic techniques.

For example, the shoulder can be set by hitting it against a hard surface or rolling on the ground, and the kneecaps can be set by extending the leg.

For fractures, a splint should be put on, and a pair of sticks will work as materials. The broken bone is first stabilized with sticks and then tied together with string or rope.

Water filter

✅Pine or spruce wood is porous enough to allow water to pass through, but also to trap bacteria and other harmful particles.

✅Most bacteria are 1 to 10 microns long, and the gaps in the wood tissue are small enough to trap them.

✅Cut a piece of wood 3-4 cm long and about 2 cm in diameter and place it in a tube.

✅By passing water through it under pressure, you can filter 4 liters of pure water in 24 hours.

Be aware of your intuition and fears

If you're scared to walk on a ledge, swim in deep water, ski down a steep mountain, then you're okay with your self-preservation instinct. Listen to it, be proud of it. It's your personal bodyguard.

Life surrounded by danger, constant vigilance and the occasional experience of fear - it's normal. Man is evolutionarily adapted to this, and only a significant deviation from such conditions in one direction or another is unfavorable for him.

It happens that young people want to shine in front of girls or in front of buddies. In friendly company, everyone becomes more reckless in general. People turn on each other with hackneyed replicas, like "who doesn't risk, doesn't drink champagne," then commit a "feat" and spend the rest of their lives cursing their stupidity. If you find yourself in a situation where you need to survive and someone you know is with you, stick together and don't show off in front of each other.

How to survive a nuclear explosion. Yes, there is such a possibility!

In a nuclear explosion, the main danger is the shockwave created by the explosion, not the flash itself and the fireball, which has a relatively small radius. If you are far enough away from the fireball and see it, you may have 8-10 seconds to react correctly. You must quickly lie face down with your fingers over your eyes and ears. You should breathe through your mouth.

If you stay upright, the shockwave will damage your lungs, eardrums, and other organs. As soon as the shockwave passes by, you should immediately find a well-fortified underground shelter and stay there for the next 48 hours. The radioactive material after the explosion diminishes exponentially, and after 48 hours you can already try to find your loved ones. And then you must leave the city and get as far away from the site of the explosion as possible.

Making a rope in the woods

Conifers have long, flexible roots that extend in all directions beneath the surface of the ground. If you need an improvised rope to build a shelter or do other work, a pine or spruce tree will help you out.

Sharpen your stick and tear up the top layer of earth near the tree. Very soon you will come across thin, long and flexible roots.

Gently pull on them, pulling them out of the ground. To make the rope more flexible, cut the root lengthwise and remove the sheath.

Pack only what you NEED! Eat healthy , exercise and train yourself to be a better you. You'll thank yourself and me later.
