Way to dry your feet during a long layover

Fill your shoes with hot (so they don't burn) pebbles or small stones.

It is also advised to fill with hot sand, but this can only be done with intact, not torn from the inside of the shoes, otherwise the sand won't rub off completely after drying and will rub your feet, and contribute to further tearing of the fabric.

Also, dry moss is extremely good at absorbing moisture (no worse than newsprint).

Use whatever you find

Even a roe deer you have just killed can be useful. Its bones can be used to make fishing hooks and other tools and weapons.

The female's urine can be used as bait, the hide can be used to make small containers, etc.
These are two of the world's deadliest knives. I'm sure these aren't available and/or legal in many places but for the places they are legal , I'd recommend purchasing these bad boys!

Making a fire without matches

1. You need a magnifying glass and sunny weather.
You can use the glass from the glasses or photo-video camera. Prepare dry rags, fluff or grass, then place the glass so that the sun's ray would intensify and hit the dried wood for melting. It can take a long time to get fire this way, maybe even a few hours.

2. You can use an axe blade and flint. Striking the blade casually with the flint, you will get sparks, which will ignite the prepared rags (dried wood). If the flint isn't available, you can look for an alternative in the form of another hard stone, with sharp edges.

3. You will need what you have in any house - manganese solution and glycerin. Pour about 1 gram of crushed into a fine powder of potassium permanganate (manganese). Then drop 2-3 drops of glycerin on it and quickly remove your hand. It will only take 2-3 seconds, and you will see a fire flash.

Hammock with mosquito net

Hammock with mosquito
net is irreplaceable thing for rest of any person. Thanks to the protection against annoying insects, it can be placed in the summertime, even near water or in the woods, where the area is swarming with mosquitoes or gadflies, including those that carry malaria.

If the hammock is properly placed, you can say with a hundred percent probability that the person in it won't be bitten by a single insect. And you don't have to use all sorts of repellent chemicals. For this reason, hammock with mosquito netting is just perfect for travel, tourism and survival.

Signs of stable clear weather

pressure rises continuously for several days or remains consistently high;
air temperature maintains a steady diurnal variation: in summer it is hot during the day, and cool at night; in winter there is a strong frost at night, the frost weakens during the day, and strengthens again by evening;
wind also maintains a steady diurnal course: no wind at night, wind gets stronger during the day, and by evening it slackens, the smoke rises up in columns;
cloudiness is absent or broken cumulus clouds move in the direction of the surface wind, by evening they disappear;
the night is clear, the sky is dotted with stars, the moon is bright, the dawn is golden or pale pink;
abundant dew falls at night (hoarfrost in winter); heavy fog in the morning, disappearing after sunrise;
frogs squawk loudly;
swallows fly high, gulls sit on the water, forest birds sing loudly;
ants are very active; there are abundant cobwebs on the grass and bushes;

Making a fire in any weather

Softwoods
are full of resinous substances that burn well. Similarly, dried needles of evergreens are rich in resin and turpentine, making them a great fire starter. In rainy weather, look for patches of resin-soaked wood - they will have a reddish-copper hue and smell strong. Usually such patches are at the bottom near the roots or where branches come out of the trunk. Make shavings or splinters out of such wood and set them on fire. They will burn even if everything around them is wet.

Also, dried tar can be used as a dry alcohol tablet. It's hard to light, but once it's ignited, it will be hard to put out even in the wind and rain. Use it to dry and light wet firewood.

Study the Universal Edibility Test

The old rule is to follow animals and eat what they eat.

However, in order to find out if you can eat a particular plant, you need to test it.

Use the universal edibility test, which says to put a small piece of the plant on your lip, then on your tongue, and wait about eight hours before eating the whole plant. If you don't have a reaction after a while, the plant is safe.

2 simple ways to get water

First:
put a plastic bag on the branches of a deciduous tree, wrap the top of the bag tightly. The tree breathes, condensate accumulates in the bag and collects at the bottom of the bag, flowing down in droplets.

Second: take off part of the clothes capable of absorbing moisture, in the morning, during the dew soak it in moisture, squeeze in a mug. Then a dry place to sleep overnight, as close to the source as possible.

Then choose a place for the fire, preferably a fallen tree.

How to escape: methods to get out of the wilderness

Survival experts recommend remembering:
If you get lost, stop, think and look around. In most cases, you should stay where you are and wait for help. If help is late, build shelter, make a fire and find food. When there is no one to wait for help, you need to move on. The first thing you need to do is find north. Remember: the sun rises in the East and sets in the West.

Determining north is only half the battle. You still need to know which direction to go. If you have a general idea of the area, head for the nearest road. If you don't know the area, follow the water source downstream or head for a clearing where you can visibly signal for help.

If you have a signaling tool (a flashlight or a mirror will do), use it the second you see the rescue helicopter.

I'm not a crypto nut but I do have an interest in being prepared. Being prepared can mean MANY different things. I would highly recommend everyone to explore owning or even mining some cryptocurrencies as an alternative. There are all kinds of way to mine. You can use a computer , a smartphone , miners and you can even use solar power to help reduce or even eliminate energy costs. #BePrepared #WorldwideMilitia

Know your priorities

Experts recommend the following list of priorities for survival in the event of a disaster:

Immediate rescue: if a building is on fire, get out; if someone is shooting at you, move for cover. Whatever the immediate danger, get away from it.

First Aid: Take care of medical problems resulting from the disaster. Check yourself for injuries and give yourself first aid.

Self-defense: if you are in danger (e.g., near predatory animals), you should arm yourself. This could be a sharpened stick, knife, or any other item that will allow you to defend yourself.

Physical needs: shelter, fire, water, food, and hygiene.

It's also worth noting that almost every survival instructor, doctor, and teacher recommends one key survival rule that everyone should follow: positivity. A positive attitude will give you the mental and emotional stamina to stay safe.

Fractures and dislocations

A dislocated bone
needs to be put back in its place. There are many tutorials on YouTube that you can follow to learn the basic techniques.

For example, the shoulder can be set by hitting it against a hard surface or rolling on the ground, and the kneecaps can be set by extending the leg.

For fractures, a splint should be put on, and a pair of sticks will work as materials. The broken bone is first stabilized with sticks and then tied together with string or rope.

Water filter

Pine or spruce wood is porous enough to allow water to pass through, but also to trap bacteria and other harmful particles.

Most bacteria are 1 to 10 microns long, and the gaps in the wood tissue are small enough to trap them.

Cut a piece of wood 3-4 cm long and about 2 cm in diameter and place it in a tube.

By passing water through it under pressure, you can filter 4 liters of pure water in 24 hours.
