Israeli forces raided Al Jazeera's office in Ramallah, located in the occupied West Bank, enforcing a 45-day shutdown of the bureau, the news agency reported.

Heavily armed Israeli soldiers entered the building Sunday morning and delivered the closure order to the network’s bureau chief Walid al-Omari.

“There is a court ruling for closing down Al Jazeera for 45 days,” a soldier told al-Omari. “I ask you to take all the cameras and leave the office at this moment.”

After closing the building, Israeli security forces took the Al Jazeera team out of the offices and prevented them from working broadcast from the street in Ramallah
