A PIP = “Point In Percentage”
It’s the smallest measurable movement in price.
In most pairs:
📈 1 pip = 0.0001 (for EUR/USD, GBP/USD…)
📈 1 pip = 0.01 (for XAUUSD, BTCUSD)

🔹 2. WHAT IS A POINT?
A point is 10 pips.
Simple example on XAUUSD (Gold):
• Price moves from 2320.00 → 2321.00 = 1 point = 10 pips
• From 2320.00 → 2330.00 = 10 points = 100 pips

🔹 3. HOW IS PROFIT CALCULATED?
It depends on 2 things:
✅ How many pips the price moved
✅ Your lot size
🧮 Formula:
Pips gained × Value per pip = Profit
Example:
• You buy XAUUSD at 2320.00
• You close at 2325.00 → +5 points = +50 pips
• You used 0.10 lot
→ That’s around $50 profit (1 pip ≈ $1 on 0.10 lot)

A lot = the size of your trade. It controls how much you earn (or lose) per pip.
Here’s the breakdown:
• 0.01 lot = micro lot = ~$0.10 per pip
• 0.10 lot = mini lot = ~$1 per pip
• 1.00 lot = standard lot = ~$10 per pip
So:
→ 50 pips gain on 0.01 = ~$5
