🧿 This is about as close as I was able to get today, tomorrow it should be open to the public. (Thanks to people in chat for clarifying that it is closed today for "Unity Day" celebrations.)

🧿 Well, I was going to do some editing tonight, but it seems 'Wetransfer' is either racist or virtue signaling. Either way, this is the message I get:

To our creative community in Russia and the Republic of Belarus,

We have made the very difficult decision to temporarily stop providing services and selling our products in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

WeTransfer serves creative people around the world and we understand that many of you rely on our service to share ideas and work.

But there is also the risk that our products and services are used in the interests of war, and this we cannot reconcile.

We remind you that this is a necessary measure, we hope for your understanding.

🧿 One of our subscribers asked a couple of questions.. Let me answer them :

One of them is the technological aspect that we tend to take for granted here. The access to the internet and the wifi access.
Is it everywhere in hotels and cafe, bars etc?

In short, yes, there is cellular in the subway, 4G internet everywhere and I'm no expert but I would say I've seen a few 5G towers around the city.

WiFi has been available in every restaurant I've been to, as well as bars and in my hotel.

Are there 5G towers or are they using fiber optics?

Probably a combination of both.

Then, is it frowned upon to film or take photos in public or it’s ok and normal?

Considering Moscow is the capital, and there are a lot of sights to see and film, I've seen a plethora of Russian tourists taking videos and pictures, I've filmed everything I wanted to and never had any issues.

Are people always on their phone like we see here?

Generally speaking, yes, maybe a tiny bit less. Keeping in mind that everything from parking, banking, paying for services and even ordering taxis is done via mobile, the society is very integrated through mobiles and web services.

Instagram (labeled an 'extremist organization' for allowing calls to violence against Russians) is blocked here, so I'd say a smaller percentage is hooked on social media.

Likewise it is a lot more common to see families playing in the park or tossing a ball than it is in the west.

If you have any further questions, feel free to comment below and I will get to them eventually.

🧿 Going to have a "Subwayβ„’" sandwich, and then have some Nutella (those of you who know me know I love me some Nutella) - seems those items are not affected by the sanctions.

🧿 Mendelevskaya station, thought to myself, isn't that the chemist that organized the periodic table, it is, hence the chemistry themed light fixtures.

🧿 Spent about 3 hours cruising the Moscow subway, getting shots for an upcoming report on some of the most beautiful stations Moscow has to offer.

I ended up covering only about 1/4 of the stations I plan to film, here is some of the beauty you can expect to see on your daily commute (and in the upcoming report).

🧿 Another snap from earlier today. There is quite a lot of communist symbolism in the subway. ☭ (BTW this is an air vent)

🧿 Everyone does their part. Old, young, male, female, it doesn't matter. Only together can we be victorious.

More from the metro tours.

"Working Brother" is not a news outlet.

🧿 It's just one man's opinion. Many posts are parody.
