π§ΏSheikh Imran Hosein was kind enough to agree to a quick interview when I met him earlier today.
I had the opportunity to ask him about several topics, including the "post Assad" Syria, his takes on 'salafis' as well as the direction of Islam in the Balkans, some background about his personal story, and his experience with meeting Lavrov.

We also cover the Chechen model and why Albania did not let the Sheikh visit, and some of his recent discoveries in Bosnia.
No technical difficulties, but we did get told off for 'filming video' in the hotel lobby. Thankfully there was an audio recording going too, so we continued for a bit but still ended up cutting the interview short.

π§Ώ Three years ago I went to Russia for a month, of which I spent ten days in Donetsk, graciously hosted by Russell 'Texas' Bentley (RIP).
Considering the amount of time that has passed, and everything that has transpired since, I think it would be prudent to actually start making a documentary (possibly several) about the trip and use that 180gb of footage most of you have not seen.

Sixteen people died when a newly built* canopy at Novi Sad train station collapsed on 1 November 2024. It sparked a year of unrest, led by students angry that the tragedy was a consequence of government corruption.
