🧿 During the tour of the 1418 Days Museum which surrounds The Main Cathedral of The Armed Forces, there were many interesting artefacts. These included. As a part of the Berlin Exhibit.
Some there is video of, others just photos.

Looking forward to making the report on the visit arranged with a personal tour guide from the Vozmezdie (Retribution) Peoples Movement.

"You don't understand Russian? The time has come to learn"

To be honest I see this meme in a different light. I think this every time I meet a western foreigner who is applying for residency but terrified of the language test :D

🧿 A history lesson, a masterclass in cinematography, a different perspective of the story of World War Two, a good refresher for anyone who thinks they know the Russian mentality and their sacrifices.

This Movie is a lot of things, it was also highly recommended by Russell Bentley.

Come and See (Russian: Иди и смотри, Idi i smotri; Belarusian: Ідзі і глядзі, Idzi i hliadzi) is a 1985 Soviet anti-war film directed by Elem Klimov -

The film's plot focuses on the Nazi German occupation of Belarus, and the events as witnessed by a young Belarusian partisan teenager named Flyora, who—against his mother's wishes—joins the Belarusian resistance movement, and thereafter depicts the Nazi atrocities and human suffering inflicted upon the Eastern European villages' populace. The film mixes hyper-realism with an underlying surrealism, and philosophical existentialism with poetical, psychological, political and apocalyptic themes.

🧿 Nazis have struck Donetsk again, yet again an Orthodox Church is struck - are they satanists posing as nazis, or are they one and the same - a tale that Russell Bentley is very familiar with.

Pick a side.

возмездие = retribution, recompense, punishment for a crime, for evil.

🧿 To continue with the movie suggestions, "The Brest Fortress" is a must watch film, a modern classic of sorts, almost a family movie.

Also a great look into the brutality of "modern war" without the Hollywood feel good vibe.

*Fun fact : the first time the nazi forces were given the order to retreat, was at that fortress. *

Also known as : Fortress of War (Russian: Брестская крепость; translit. Brestskaia krepost; festival title: The Brest Fortress) is a 2010 Russian-Belarusian war film recounting the June 1941 defense of Brest Fortress against invading Wehrmacht forces in the opening stages of Operation Barbarossa, Nazi Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union during World War II. Events are narrated from the perspective of 15-year-old Sasha Akimov, centering on three resistance zones holding out against the protracted German siege. The defending forces are led by regiment commander Major Pyotr Gavrilov (44th Rifle Regiment of the Red Army), with Regimental Commissar Yefim Fomin (84th Rifle Regiment of the Red Army), and the head of the 9th Frontier Outpost, Lieutenant Andrey Mitrofanovich Kizhevatov.

Brest Fortress (Belarusian: Брэсцкая крэпасць, Bresckaja krepasć; Russian: Брестская крепость), is a 19th-century fortress in Brest, Belarus. In 1965, the title "Hero Fortress" was given to the fortress to commemorate the defence of the frontier stronghold during the first week of the Operation Barbarossa when Axis forces invaded the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941. The title "Hero Fortress" corresponds to the title "Hero City" that the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union awarded to twelve Soviet cities.
