Not having a plan or process: When you start with a plan, you have a framework for what you want to get accomplished.
Not documenting accurately: I've seen people get excited about their OSINT work and dive into the assessment. When the time comes to write the report or deliver results, their data lacks references, URLs, dates, hashes, and how they obtained the content and generates more work for them and the team.
Not taking precautions to protect yourself and your system: VPN is basic. Don't use your own accounts for your work. Plain and simple. Create sock puppets. Seek other methods to retrieve the data.
Not corroborating data: "It must be true. I found it on the internet." No. Always seek to validate, verify, and corroborate data discovered.
Not cleaning your system after the assessment: Make sure that all previous work is archived or deleted from your system. Log out of sock puppet accounts. Don't contaminate next cases with previous data.

VAERS COVID Vaccine Data Show Surge in Reports of Serious Injuries, as 5-Year-Olds Start Getting Shots
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new data today showing a total of 875,653 adverse events following COVID vaccines were reported between Dec. 14, 2020, and Nov. 5, 2021, to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). VAERS is the primary government-funded system for reporting adverse vaccine reactions in the U.S.
The data included a total of 18,461 reports of deaths — an increase of 383 over the previous week, and 135,400 reports of serious injuries, including deaths, during the same time period — up 7,943 compared with the previous week.

New mineral davemaoite discovered inside a diamond from Earth's mantle
An ancient diamond found in Botswana contains a never-before-seen mineral that came from deep inside Earth. The mineral – named davemaoite – provides a unique window into deep-Earth chemistry.
Originally dug up in a mine in Orapa, Botswana, the diamond is about 4 millimetres wide and weighs 81 milligrams. A dealer sold it in 1987 to a scientist at the California Institute of Technology who was studying diamonds, but neither the dealer nor the scientist had any idea how special it was.
The diamond, which is now at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in California, was more recently analysed by Oliver Tschauner at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is searching the world for what are known as “super-deep diamonds” to see what they can tell us about the deep interior of Earth.

Austria’s chancellor, Alexander Schallenberg, announced on Friday that it’s likely all unvaccinated people in Austria will be forced into a lockdown soon. This will affect about 35% of Austria’s population, which is millions of people.
During a press conference in Tyrol, Schallenberg said the lockdown is expected to be formally approved on Sunday, but there is no word yet when the lockdown will begin. During the lockdown, the unvaccinated will not be allowed to leave their home unless it’s for work, essential shopping, or a quick moment of exercise. Random checks will help ensure compliance with the new restrictions.
