A series of positive polarity, polar connected, coronal hole high speed streams (CH HSS) are expected to affect our planet in the days ahead, resulting in G1 - Minor geomagnetic storming.

The area of impact is primarily poleward of 60 degrees Geomagnetic Latitude. Under G1 conditions, weak power grid fluctuations can occur, minor impact is possible on satellite operations while aurora may be visible at high latitudes.

Trump Threatens to Veto Stimulus Deal, Calls for $2,000 Direct Payments to Americans

“Congress found plenty of money for foreign countries, lobbyists, and special interests,” Trump said on Tuesday night in a video released on his social media pages. “While sending the bare minimum to the American people who need it.”

“It wasn’t their fault; it was China’s fault.”

The president said that he will veto the bill unless Congress can provide more money in stimulus payments and loans to small businesses in the midst of the pandemic.

“I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000, or $4,000 for a couple,” he said. “I am also asking Congress to get rid of the unnecessary and wasteful items in this legislation.”

IBM, 3M, PepsiCo Among Leading US Firms That House Chinese Communist Party Units: Leaked Database

New York-headquartered tech firm IBM has at least two dozen Party units with 808 members in China.

3M, a manufacturer of consumer and health care goods, employs at least 230 CCP members within five Party units. PepsiCo, the multinational snack and beverage company, has 45 employees listed under the company’s Party branch committee.

Dow Chemical Company, one of the world’s three largest chemical producers, lists 337 CCP members in four Party committees.

Other notable U.S. firms on the list include Westin Hotel & Resorts owned by Marriott International (23 members); analytics firm Nielsen Holdings (94); leading food company Mars Food (14); and insurance provider MetLife (31).

U.S. aerospace company Boeing employed at least 287 CCP members in 2016, and U.S. pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, with at least 69 Party members.

UPDATE ON PRESIDENTIAL PARDONS

The commander-in-chief granted clemency on Tuesday to over a dozen individuals

Among the pardoned were former campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, lawyer Alex van der Zwaan, former Reps. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and Chris Collins (R-NY), and four Blackwater guards who were convicted over the killing of Iraqi civilians.

Pardons issued to Papadopoulos and Van der Zwaan, who both served short prison sentences, stemmed from special counsel Robert Mueller's Russiagate investigation. Individuals close to Trump hinted to the New York Times that the development suggests that more Russiagate-related pardons will surface in the (next few) weeks of the Trump administration.

George Papadopoulos – Today, President Trump granted a full pardon to George Papadopoulos. Mr. Papadopoulos was charged with a process-related crime, one count of making false statements, in connection with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Notably, Mueller stated in his report that he found no evidence of collusion in connection with Russia’s attempts to interfere in the election. Nonetheless, the Special Counsel’s team still charged Mr. Papadopoulos with this process-related crime.

At the time that Mr. Papadopoulos allegedly made the false statements, he was not represented by counsel, and, after he was arrested, Mr. Papadopoulos gave additional information on his prior statements to the Special Counsel. Today’s pardon helps correct the wrong that Mueller’s team inflicted on so many people.
