Notre Dame Cathedral Rises From Ashes: Update on 2019 Blaze and the Nearly Billion Euro Raised for Rebuilding
It’s been three years since fires engulfed the famous cathedral, yet even as the flames rose that night, there were signs that utter destruction could be averted. The firemen trained their hoses with tact, avoiding the enormous stained glass windows Notre Dame is known for.
Furthermore, in the days after the 800-ton spire collapsed, it was discovered that something of a miracle had occurred. While the modern altar had been crushed, the iconic Virgin of Paris, a 14th-century stone statue, stood but several feet away entirely unharmed—albeit quite covered in dust.
Luckier still, the twelve copper apostles lining the staircase to the spire’s summit had been removed four days before the fire for maintenance. The Chapel of St. Ferdinand, apart from suffering an increase in humidity, was entirely spared. https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/notre-dame-reconstruction-update-on-2019-blaze/

This New Rifle Scope By The U.S Army Can Predict The Path Of A Bullet Before It’s Fired
The U.S. Army has awarded a contract, potentially worth $2.7 billion, to Wisconsin-based Vortex Optics that will allow soldiers to shoot effectively at even farther ranges by predicting the path of a bullet before the trigger is pulled. The Next-Generation Squad Weapons—Fire Control (NGSW-FC), as the scopes are called, will go on the new Next-Generation Squad Weapons—Rifle (NGSW-R) and Next-Generation Squad Weapons—Automatic Rifle (NGSW-AR), due to be selected this year.
For hundreds of years, U.S. Army infantrymen have relied on “iron sights” to aim at targets downrange. The sights allow soldiers to shoot accurately at short ranges. At longer ranges, modern iron sights are manually adjustable to compensate for bullet drop (due to gravity) and wind. https://wonderfulengineering.com/this-new-rifle-scope-by-the-u-s-army-can-predict-the-path-of-a-bullet-before-its-fired/

These New InfraredTags Can Embed “Invisible” Info Within 3D-Printed Objects
Scientists from MIT and Facebook are contributing to the domain of an object tagging system that is invisible to the naked eye. As barcode stickers may provide valuable information on products, they may seem unattractive and they peel off over time. So, its alternative, a 3D-printed object has been brought into the item by the scientists at MIT. These are actually invisible to the naked eye.
These tags are referred to as “Infrared Tags”. Ph.D. student. Mustafa Doga Dogan has led the team at MIT for the same purpose. He got the idea through a new smartphone that includes an infrared-imaging camera. https://wonderfulengineering.com/these-new-infraredtags-can-embed-invisible-info-within-3d-printed-objects/

BIDEN ADMIN HAS RECORDS ON NEARLY ONE BILLION GUN SALES
The ATF disclosed that it manages a database of 920,664,765 firearm purchase records, including both digital & hard copy versions. When a licensed gun store goes out of business, its private records detailing transactions become ATF property and are stored at a federal site in West Virginia.
The practice has contributed to the concerns that the federal govt is creating a national database of gun owners, which VIOLATES LONGSTANDING FEDERAL STATUTES.
Rep. Michael Cloud (R., Texas), who led an investigation into the ATF database following a report that the Biden administration had stockpiled records of more than 54 million gun transactions in 2021, expressed shock at the number of gun records disclosed. Cloud maintains that the ATF’s database could be exploited by the Biden admin to surveil American gun owners as it pursues new restrictions on firearms. [ Article ]
