There's talk that the Abbey Wedding & Events Venue behind St Michael's church in Athy has been converted to accommodate hundreds of male asylum seekers arriving tomorrow. The building backs onto a primary school called Scoil Mhichil Naofa.

This is my answer to those who say
.."But we Irish left and went to other countries"..
I could keep going with this answer but I'll leave at this to now..
The Irish that left
1. On prison ships to Australia
2. Coffin ships to America
3. As slaves to the Caribbean,America's and Arab lands,
4. In graves from starvation and abuse
5. To New York (those who survived the crossing) to be signed up to wars to
fight Indians, French, Red coats, and also in the American Civil War.
6. Those who managed to survive all that ended up building and working their ass off to make a life for themselves..
7. There was
No Free House
No Free School
No Free Medical card
No Free Money ..
Our ancestors that left did no wrong they were put in their situations by the British Empire and its Crown partners. (London)
Those who stayed survived a planned genocide in the 1800's the likes of which the world had never seen .. and managed around 40/50 years later to fight off what was once the world biggest empire..
We Irish Owe Notting,
To anyone but ourselves,
To live up to the likes of Ancestors would be a badge of Honour .
I would gladly carry ..

Very convenient then that former Dublin player Philly McMahon comes speaking out against his community who are protesting against migrants being dumped onto their community. Sell out.
Also:

If he's working with Bohemians, he is working with Dan Lambert who also had a tweet yesterday on how there needs to be intervention in regards to the protests.
