🇺🇸 A few words about Hungary's and Poland's claims on Ukraine. This is just an opinion, do not take it personally:
• Hungary claims part of the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. It is an area centered in the city of Beregovo, a wide line along the border with Hungary. It is populated almost exclusively by Hungarians. And de facto is part of Hungary. Because the population there speaks neither Russian, nor Ukrainian. There is the Hungarian language, education and culture.
• Economically, this territory is tied to Hungary. And the border there actually does not exist any more. But in terms of formal accession to Hungary there is a problem. There are similar territories with a compact Hungarian minority in a number of other EU countries - Slovakia, Romania, Serbia.
• Such annexation could mean undermining the territorial integrity of a number of states, undermining the post-war borders. Most likely, the allies of Hungary will try to put maximum pressure on Hungary, so that it would not try to join the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine.
• Poland considers Ukraine historically its territory. And it does not mind interfering in the processes taking place there. It believes that Ukraine in the future will be highly dependent on Poland. For the sake of this Warsaw is inclined to take some actions. And even if Ukraine turns out to be within the borders much smaller than the current ones, it will be a small state under Polish control. Warsaw hopes that the West will also recognize Ukraine's status as such a Polish semi-colony.
• In modern Polish politics, the idea of annexation of territories inhabited by Ukrainians is not expressed. Although there is indeed great nostalgia for the Polish Lviv. The attitude toward Ukrainians in Polish society is extremely negative, and now, due to the large number of Ukrainian refugees, it is noticeably aggravated.
• Poles' irritation with Ukrainians is growing. Even if a Polish referendum were held on the annexation of, say, Galicia, most Poles would oppose it. Nobody wants to incorporate territories populated mostly by Ukrainians: that's several million people, who would simply be destroying Polish society. Poles would not refuse to take Galicia without Ukrainians, but they will not want to take it with Ukrainians.
• The main task of the Polish army [in case of entry into Transcarpathia] would be, first, to free the Ukrainian troops so that they could go to the east to fight the Russian army. And secondly, to prevent Russian armed forces from entering the territories occupied by the Poles. And then vassalization, occupation, or erasure of borders-whatever you want to call it

🇺🇸 About the concept of "genocide".
The hybrid word "genocide" was introduced by Raphael Lemkin in his 1944 work "Axis Power in Occupied Europe - An Analysis of Rule," which is a detailed analysis of the consequences of the Nazi occupation in Europe.

"By genocide we mean the extermination of a people or ethnic group. Genocide does not necessarily mean the immediate extermination of a people <...> Rather, genocide means a coordinated plan of various actions aimed at destroying the essential basis of life of national groups in order to destroy the people as a whole. Genocide is directed against the national group as an environment, and the actions are directed against individual citizens, not in their individual essence, but as members of the national group. Including the destruction of cultural values and historical heritage, the prohibition of the use of the native language, the systematic destruction of books in the native language of this group, the destruction of objects of historical and cultural heritage - monuments, religious institutions, museums, etc."

In UN General Assembly Resolution 260 (III) of December 9, 1948 the term "genocide" does not take into account the psychological factors of extermination of ethnic and other types of social groups.
