🚨 Community Alert for Dublin 8
A Dublin mother says she's never felt so shaken up after an experience near the Circle K on Usher's Quay which left her child in tears.
The woman was buying milk from the garage's hatch at around 10:30pm on Monday when she got the feeling someone was standing disturbingly close behind her. She grabbed her child's hand and rang her partner and then noticed an associate of the man putting petrol in what looked like a taxi. She identified the men as foreign.
Nervous, she proceeded to make her way home, but looking back noticed the vehicle approaching her which then swerved into the direction she was going. When one of the men jumped out, she and her child ran back to the Circle K screaming.
The man continued after her until he realised she was on the phone and then returned to the vehicle which sped off in the opposite direction.
She described the vehicle as resembling a dark VW Caddy similar to a vehicle used in a failed abduction earlier on Monday night.

Locals protested outside the gates of Aughrim St Sports Centre in Stoneybatter this evening.
Protesters sought assurances from gardaí who attended the scene that no male asylum seekers would be accommodated at the sports hall, making known their specific concern about any attempt to house Somali men there as rumours have been circulating online that it had been singled out for their use.
Almost all Somalis have had their asylum claims accepted in Ireland in recent years and they are one of the groups who are expedited thought the asylum process along with applicants from Libya, Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan & Eritrea.
Once asylum seekers have been granted refugee status or given subsidiary protection, they can use the family reunification programme to bring in parents, spouses and children under 18.
All parties in Dáil except Fine Gael want to extend the scope of this programme to include grandparents, children over 18, siblings, cousins, nephews & nieces, as was the case before 2015.
