Pure greed. Meanwhile a vast majority of the nation struggles to keep their head above water.
Politicians today seem more concerned about furthering their empire rather than attending to the needs of the people they were elected in to serve and protect.
This is a very worrying trend in the political system today whereby service to self is paramount in such positions were its required that you serve. They don't call them civil SERVANTS for nothing.
This is were representative democracy gets you with representatives given astronomical salaries that pushes them away from the ordinary hard working men and woman of Ireland and right bang smack into upper class society to serve the corporate interests of the elite.
