7th September 1695 - introduction of the penal laws in occupied Ireland.

Penal laws resulted in underground Catholic resistance centred around Mass rocks, hedgeschools, tithe and tax boycotts and insurrections against landlordism. It sowed the seeds of later armed insurrections against the Protestant-Masonic British State.

* Exclusion of Catholics from holding a public office
* No Catholic could vote
* No Catholic ownership of land
* Catholics were not allowed to hold arms
* Catholics could not become an orphan’s guardian
* Catholics were barred from living in many provincial towns
* Catholic priests, religious and the hierarchy killed or driven into exile or apostasy
* Catholics required to pay tithes to the Anglican Church of Ireland
* Catholics could not establish schools
* Catholics could not send their children abroad for education
* Transportation to the penal colonies for teaching the Catholic religion
* Capital punishment for converting a Protestant to the Catholic Faith.

While much gloating ensued over the death of a 96-year-old woman from natural causes, GAA Ambassador Abood here was giving a regime sanctioned speech on the future they want implemented for Ireland.

He claimed our history as his own but implored us to dispense with it and embrace the bright new plantation using the folksy catchphrase "now that's lovely hurling" to persuade us of its merit.
